Bit of a heavy week so far and looks like it will be for the rest of it, looking forwards to a nice "sit down and chill" session, with good company on friday.

Anybody joining me at neros this week ?

(wont expect the "sunshine boys" if it's inclement)

Cheers Mark.

Yeah I'll be there but if it rains expect me to beg some water from Nero's and start cleaning my bike!

It's been too long and having adjusted my clutch, put on something special to my SV (no, you'll have to wait and see) and new tyres now going on sometime Thursday, I shall be gagging for caffeine and bike chat.

Oh and I think it's very unfair of you to keep having a pop at the inline four guys (and Nick ;) ) about bad weather making their bikes dirty. Good fun and totally true though!!!

Are you all just meeting for a brew and chat or are you going for a ride as well? I dont own an SV as yet and for my sins ride about on a 100cc scooter, but i would like to meet up to get some info from people who know about the bikes rather than someone in a showroom who will tell you anything to get a sale. I'm currently saving up for the training and test.

Listen buster, just 'cause your already old and crepid it doesn't give you licence to have a pop at us young good looking chaps.

I'm not worried about the bike gettin' dirty, I can wash it whenever I need to. I just can't see the point of going out in the rain... If it rains when I'm out then faie enough.

I may see you on Friday, but the weather's already looking poor....

Come on down, it's more a social thing at this time of year.
Good mix of those new to biking and though that have been on the scene awhile.
If we don't know about it, we'll know a man how dose
Expect some flack if you pull up and prop you lid on you head though.

As I said more a coffee and chat (up coming events/ bike mods/ **** takes, that kind of thing).

Anyone welcome ranges between 4-12 (check out the pole on Friday)
But other bikers meet there as well; even get the odd copper talk to us (no jokes about all coppers being odd please).

Cheers Mark.

Us sad old gits, have got to get our fun some where, since regressing to an SV I've obviuosly got so slow it takes a week to get to Soho.

Not doubt see you on a track day this year, you can thrash me round the track (I promise to stop for a fag break about every 20 minutes or so).
thinking about getting a couple of panniers and a top box just to even it up a bit, or maybe a pillion?

I'd park the red baked bean can miles away so as no one knows youre socialising with a scooter owner. You know, i'm already having dreams about owning an SV. Sad eh!

Only problem being, the better halfs brother was in a coma for several weeks after crashing his duke so understandably she has some concerns.

I've been on bikes more year than I care to remember (not hard going senile) and even spend nearly 12 years as a paramedic picking people up at boxhill, so I’ve see enough to justify not riding bikes, however their is no way I'm even giving up before I'm physically unable to ride one (then I'll get a Harley or something).

It's good as a hobby, but if it gets in the blood it's addictive.
Right gear, right bike for you, right experience, can make it safer or limit possible injuries, it's not "safe" but then nothing else is either!

Cheers Mark.

And as for Nando's, second best thing to happen in Frith Street:

What the hell's Nando's?

Nando’s prides itself on its individual approach to every aspect of its business. Each restaurant is run by a Patrao (literally head of the family) and all Nandocas (everyone who works for Nando’s) work together, getting involved in everything from the look of their particular restaurant to how their restaurant is marketed within the local community.

The signature menu item at Nando’s is a Portuguese speciality, PERi-PERi chicken which has a truly unique taste. Fresh, never-frozen, A-grade chickens are butterfly-cut and immediately marinated in the top-secret Nando’s marinade for a full 24 hours to ensure that the flavour penetrates right through the meat. The chicken is flame-grilled right in front of the customer and basted thoroughly with the customer’s choice of sauce: Lemon & Herb for the not so brave, Medium PERi-PERi for the slightly more adventurous and Hot or Extra Hot PERi-PERi for the real daredevils. Flame-grilling the chicken means that half the fat of the chicken literally disappears in the process, and the result – the finest tasting chicken in the world.

Hmmm Sounds good

Bugger. First Friday I'm free in a long while and it's forecast as 'severe gales' and driving rain over the southeast. So probably not.

And I like Nandos. :(

Seems like an anti 4 week this week so I think I'll give it a miss. Maybe we'll have to start an "In Line 4 Massive" all of our own and meet somewhere where all bikes are welcome.

No matter what the weather, myself and my IL4 (or V-twin if I can get to the f*****' keys first), will be headed north up the A1 on Friday evening, and sadly this means that I won't be in Soho this week.

Next time though..........

A few of us are regularly out and about, especially on Sundays. Regular trips from Boxhill in Surry, and up to M&P near Oxford are fairly common place. One or two of us have now progressed from SV's to other machines

Getting a complex Steve? Perhaps getting a new bike makes you a bit more sensitive

Cheers Mark.

Steve, you seem to know rather a lot about Nandos. You didn't copy that from the web by any chance did you?

Don't be so sensitive - we are (hopefully) more than 'just' an SV650 gathering now ... bring your pristine, glossy, pocket-rocket and we can all point at scooters and laugh!

Let's hope the weather gets its act together - I don't relish standing around in damp waterproofs for hours ...

Remember it's not the Soho SV Massive, it's simply the Soho Massive so any bike is acceptable (except scooters!) as you well know Steve - you're just getting your leg pulled a little (as does everyone else from time to time).

Wots not acceptable is becoming a rain-wus.
