Everyone else has got their own regional forum so should we have one for the North?

Yeah, I was surprised that there wasn't one already. I wouldn't mind meeting up with people from the Yorkshire area for ride outs.

I suppose it is a big area. I don't want to just have North west cos I'm close to Yorkshire too and can do rideouts over that way quite easily, so something that'll include us all would be ideal. It'll probably be those folks that can easily make it to local rideouts. Suggestions are more than welcome :D

Well still talk to you...we often get visitors in the surfers forum and if you use View las post like I do you dont miss much. Our area is spread very wide, I think thats better and have your own little enclaves because come summer youll probbaly travel further. We go from further east than Bristol, into Wales and right down to Cornwall...bad in winter, great in summer.

Considering the whole country above Hertfordshire is North I guess 'North' is about 3/4 of the country? I stnad to be corrected :P :D

I think it might be a reasonable plan to just split it out for the rideouts. On the other hand everyone else has their own area so its mainly us left in the general rideouts section. :)

Big question is whats North :?: Cheshire - Carlisle ?

As a southerner, I consider Sheffield upwards. Derby etc are north midlands I reckon. Thinking about it the Midlands seems an SV black hole? We dont have many brummie riders, do we?

When you say Northern.......Northern what? I would consider myself as staying up North compared to a lot who use this forum. Or do you mean North of England?
To me Carlisle is South and London is Souther

Shrewsbury is NOT a black hole!!! I think we're officially West Midlands, although we have Shropshire Fire & Rescue, West Mercia Police, and Severn Trent Water - so I dunno :help:

Why don't you have a 'Pennines massive' which will tie up all those fantastic biking roads in Central/Northern England - Lanashire/Derbyshire/Yorkshire?

How about 'Flat Cap and Ferret Brigade' that describes the area :D

What with the Selkent forum and the Soho Massive, there's only the Northeners left on the main board now!!

Yeah why not... sounds like fun....

I'd be quite happy with the, as long as we could move the venues around to make it fair for riders from all areas to get too

A good idea for arranging meets and ride outs as long as it doesn't take anything away from the General Discussion section of the main board.
Plus with a cleavage that talented I want to meet Sledgehammer!

Who spotted my deliberate mistake? :D

The pennines is further North (my geography sucks).

I guess a Lancashire/Derbyshire/Yorkshire type group would have to be a 'Peak Massive' - taking in Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Chesterfield, Macc etc.

I recon it's the Pennines, I'm only about 300m from the West Pennine moors so it can be that far North!

Yeh, i think a northern group would be a good idea. However i do agree with cloggsy you know, move venues about abit to make it more fair due to the vastness of the northern area. Oh i live on the east coast.

Ok. Lets start with possible venues then.

Western Pennines I reckon could meet at Squires Milk Bar in Sherburn.
Always packed on a nice weekend and most Bikers have heard of it :?:

Maybe a regular, say, Tuesday there. Somewhere west of the pennines on a Thursday and a roaming meet on a weekend.

Only an idea. Just a little one mind not a big one :D
