5 years and almost 50,000 miles....the stock seat has given up the ghost. Well, not completely,
but there's a growing crack running the width (up to 4 or 5 inches by now).
Anyway, I tried a search and couldn't find any polls on the subject, so here goes.
If you choose "other", please just put the choice in your message.

Although I do not yet have a Corbin for the SV I can vouch for how good they are.

I had a cbr600 With a corbin gunfighter and lady seat and i could ride all day with no numbness at all

If you can afford one go for it you will not regret it

Corbin!
Had mine for a year and a half now and love it!! Can ride all day with no probs! 8)
Fit to bike is not very good, needs to be pushed and pulled about to get the holes lined up so I avoid taking it off if I can!! Gets annoying!

Strangely my knees give up over long distances before my **** does. Especialy the left one injured 3 years ago in a ski accident. I still kep my origial Suzuki seat. Hmm £100 pounds seems to much to me for a new seat i'm not shure i need.

I've got a suzuki gel seat and can vouch for the comfort factor.
Excellent fit (obviously) and just really comfy. :D

Wow....I'm really surprised to see Corbin up there. Since I've had this bike
for a while now, I seem to recall early complaints that it pushed you forward.
I might have this wrong, though, since I've slept quite a few times since
seeing this. But basically, I think it was down to the contouring of the seat.
It had a raised rear end (versus the flat seat that Suzuki has stock), so it
pretty much set you down in one place.
I know Corbin have a good reputation, so I would expect quality....but I think
I'm going to have to go with the Suzuki seat (just because of price alone).
I can get one here in the states for $100!!

Hmmm. Got a gel seat recently, and yes it's comfortable, no complaints, but can't really say that I've found it much better than the stock item. Maybe this is because I rode bicycles long distance for years and there is an 'oh! 'bum ache', yeah, I guess' factor.

Well, just got an e-mail from the place where I was going to buy my gel seat.
They say it's been discontinued. That would be a shame, but I'm gonna
look elsewhere first.

got a suzuki gel seat, can now do 300 miles and be able to walk normally afterwards, before the gel seat I used to manage 150 miles and then walk like john wayne for the next couple of days

EDIT

"THE SUZUKI" Gel seat. 1440 miles in 5 days and no John Wayne impressions, no numb bumb, and no pins & needles, what more can I say.

Oh yeah, I've just ordered one for the GSXR.

It might sound strange to you lot, but I've never had a problem with the standard SV seat over the last 65,000 miles.

Now it might be, having owned loads of bikes or I've got used to it, I don't know?

But it's not an issue to me.

Can't vote as no option for standard.

Cheers Mark.
