After 80,000 miles the stick on Alu weave on the front forks was looking a little the worse for ware.
So this evening I thought I'd replace it.
As it's me, and I always like to try something new and a bit different, I've done this.
Don't know how durable it'll be, but it looks good and no polishing.

And the finishing touch.

So did i, my best trick was to get the fork legs shot plasted and powder coated as they then arre effectivly corrosion free, not as shiny but only take a quick polish and only cost me £30!! however, dont ever get t cut on the powder coaating and wipe it off #-o as it now needs re doing on the top of the left fork leg f***!!! and it can be donw inbetween you waiting for the inebertable fork springs to arrive from harris! ( i did it while my bike was in the repair shop)
just a though- more drastic but so far good!
Alex
Hey,
I don't like it...
Sorry. My two cents.
Mitch

I think it looks a bit too obviously aftermarket, but the basic look's fine. I like the diamond plate, got a diamond-plate guitar scratchplate on one of my Strats :)
