View Full Version : Who has blue flame
I would like to hear from anyone currently using a blue flame can or knows someone wih a blue flame can. I am planning on buying a dualport titanium EVO highmount here in the states for $475. I would like to hear recommendations for or against this purchase.
I would really like the titanium EVO3 but they are currently unavailable here in the states. Anybody know the difference b/w EVO and EVO3 other than shape
What kind of mods are required to fit this can properly? Any cutting or manipulating to get a proper fit?

i beleive blue flame are pretty popular in the states so it surprises me you cant get the evo 3 over there, there has been some questions raised about the build quality of the cans but as yet,i've not heard of a problem with any sv ones,no idea what the evo is but the evo 3 has removable baffles so i'm guessing that would be the difference, the biggest problem with blue flame seems to be customer service which is either excellent or **** poor,it all depends on if you catch them on a good day
as for fitting, you need to cut your existing can off,to fit the blue flame(same as any other cans unless you get a full system, you get a link pipe for refitting the old pipe if needed though and instructions included with thte can are pretty straight forward)
do a search on this forum for blue flame and there is quite a few posts, mainly cloggsy and dr rich
how much is $475 in real money,if its an evo 3 you really want then you may find someone who will buy one and ship over to you,not something i've ever looked into so not sure of the cost or logistics

MMMhhhh actually mainly Amarko5 and Dr rich
I think my evo 3 is excellent and up to press I have no complaints whatsoever with the build quality getting on close for 2,500 miles with it fitted now. And it just gets louder and louder as the miles pour on

just had to send ma blueflame evo can back  it split on the base where it connects to the link pipe, i noticed the can was vibrating alot and on on closer inspection there were two cracks on ether side on the base
however sent it back to blueflame and had a new one (replaced) with in three days
however the can is about two inches shorter ( apparently blueflame had a problem, with the high level on the sv splitting and they shortened the can which stopped it ! my is a low level but they still shortened it  however it is now louder than the original evo with the bungs out :? think they'll have to go back in

oh yeh
forgot to say that the original can was only 6-7 months old :?
That doesn't sound good :( I'd about convinced myself that the problem cans were either the previous model, or the high level ones. Still, if they've changed the design of the can, maybe the new one is a good-un.
What construction was yours by the way, SS, titanium or carbon? Round or oval?
