Two things:
1. Manouvre/start to signal at the same..............often without checking mirrors
2. Pull out and make a feeble/token effort to get up to the speed of the traffic behind, causing otherwise unnecessary braking and "bunching".
Lorry drivers:
On two-lane motorways, they pullout to overtake another lorry travelling 0.2mph slower than they are whilst having no apparent regard to the fact that theres a line of 50 significantly faster-moving vehicles overtaking them both at the time.
I've seen more near-misses (more correctly called near-hits) caused by this than anything else on the motorways. Would it really hurt for them to wait a few seconds to let the overtaking queue past?
out on the SV today (testing out the lowered seat, DIY, recommended  )
Anyway, within 5 miles there were 2 cases of cars doing 3-point-turns in totally stupid inappropriate places. One in a country lane with high hedges and at best 50m visibility, the second on a main road through a village (admittedly a 30 limit) but again within 50m of a blind bend. After I passed the second, I watched in mirrors as a car had to brake to a standstill confronted by the side of a Mini across the road. #-o
The sad thing is that these people clearly have no idea what's going on around them, and absolutely no imagination. A danger to us all, I'm afraid.
1. Swash their windscreen at speed, when you're behind, causing aplenty of spray on the visor or in your face.

I was going to Nothingham down the A50 (Stoke to M1), dual carriageway..
got stuck right behind two trucks doing the 56mph race
It took them 8miles to sort it out!!!
Fags out the window - now that really annoys me!

A Cyclist waiting at red lights? I think not. Even if they did, I'm yet to see a cyclist insane enough to tempt fate by sitting in front of a row of impatient car drivers waiting in line to squash them.

And people who are neurotic about which thread something is posted to!
Cutting across both lanes on a two lane roundabout when you're on their inside (right hand side) and they end up squashing you to the kerb.
I agree that there are bad cage drivers out there - I see them every day when commuting on my SV but I've also seen bike riders doing some of the things people have complained about here. I was cycling today and nearly got squashed by idiots on sports bikes riding down narrow lanes with no visibility. In fact, this week I've had near misses with cars, vans, a tractor and trailor pulling out in front of me, the aforementioned sports bikes and several suicidal scooters. My house is in a 40 limit and I regularly see bikers going past in excess of 60 mph. Lets face it, there are bad drivers of every sort of vehicle. I just try not to be one of them, whatever I'm driving/riding.

Too many to list, so here's 10.
- changing lanes or making a turn without signaling
- going excessively slow
- going speed limit, or under the limit on a highway in the fast lane
- tailgating me
- taking way too long to make a turn (like they are driving a semi or something)
- throw sht out the window
- trucks without mudflaps
- people not paying attention and changing lanes right after you do, causing you to slow way down
-not slowing down for you to make a turn
-staying stopped at a stoplight/stopsign for an excessive time
I experience almost all of this on a daily basis. All this stuff ****es me off when I drive as well.

That’s one of me favorites, when they go up to the roundabout in the wrong lane, without signaling.

This is completely true sadly.
I have a certain amount of sympathy with what Wheelnut says, (not just 'cos Malc is a nice bloke!!), and the article that his post links to.
Lorry drivers often get a hard time about the overtake thing, and I have a little insight into this driving my immensely slow van, the speed of my van is restricted by having s*d all horsepower and I really do try not to get in anyone's way but it isn't always easy.
What really gets up my nose is those utter, utter 8a5tard5 who, when they are the first vehicle in the right lane at the lights, put the indicator on WHEN THE F*****G LIGHTS CHANGE.
But of course, only when there is a nice long line of traffic behind them.
Deaths too good for them.

5/people talking on their moblie phone while driving
Thats The Most Annoying Thing Ever. i am always shouting and flashing my lights at thease pratts
Just not looking or thinking.
Some old doofus nearly clobbered me today. Just as well I was doing his looking and thinking for him! I gently pointed out the error of his ways at the queue for the next roundabout. He barely even noticed me when I was yelling at him through his open window from 2 yards away. Even worse I bet he doesn't even know what he did to learn for next time.
ever noticed why when you moan at a friend for speakin on their phone or sending a text. . . they always reply with something like
"i honestly say that i can take a call and it doesnt one bit affect my concentration on the road !"

1. Pulling out in front of you and then taking all day to accelerate.
2. Looking at crap on the side of the road, and then drifting into other lanes while your behind them.
3. Noticing they have almost missed their turn, slamming on their brakes, and trying to make it.
That last one was demonstrated nicely to me yesterday. Some woman in a little white car on her cell phone was driving along, noticed she was going to pass her turn and slammed on her brakes. Now this wasn't a problem for me as I could stop much faster than her, the truck behind ME however couldn't. I check my mirror and see this thing coming towards us with its tires squeeling so I start to get on the gas and am heading to the shoulder to go around this woman in her car who is still waiting to turn and I'm hoping he hits her instead of me. Well as I start to move onto the shoulder and around her she sees that she's about to get plowed and gets on it, and completely cuts me off as she dives into a parking lot so I have to stop hard again. So I dodge her and get the hell out of that mess. The whole time she was still on her phone too, probably mouthing me for being some dangerous riding kid or something.

i hate the people who drive along the river path and brake to 2mph for the speed bumps and then start to look at the boats, i know if you go by the river it will be slower but i a, concerned that a little kid might run out infront of the car and they don't see them because the are too busy looking at the boats

Outside Stockwell tube station every morning.
3 lanes of traffic (bus lane ends a few yards back)
Row of cars at the front, motorbikes filter through :D , scooters then try & get past the bikes :x , pushbikes then squeze past the scooters
Now at least 3/4 of the pushbikes ignore the lights, but that usually leaves several wobbling all over the road when the lights change
Absolute chaos results, revving engines, horns, etc.
Never seen anyone squashed yet, but it must just be a matter of time

1. Drivers who have their front fog lights on during perfect viz to look 'cool' and draw attention to their 'tasty' motor.
2. Muppets who drive everywhere at 40 mph (and it's not just the crusty folk)
3. Caravans
4.I still can't get my head round 40 mph for HGV's on single carriageway national speed limit roads (Why not 50?)
5. Fags and rubbish out of the window
6. drivers with coloured lights implanted in their window washer nozzles or neon lights illuminating the road surface.

I had two motorway lessons AFTER I passed my driving test (around 10 years ago) as recommended by my examiner. There's no reason other people can't do this as well so why don't they?

Things That Car Drivers Do To P155 You Off!
Can be summed up in one word!
DRIVE!!
Why on earth do they decide to drive on the A roads, when cars can quite comfortably drive on D roads?
In all seriousness, the thing that ****es me off the most on motorways are middle lane hoggers. I tend to undertake doing 90 mph, without accelerating, and without catching up with the other person in the inside lane.
On other roads, cut corners! The amount of time I have had a close escpae cos some ***** has decided to cut across a bend just to save from slowing down a little bit is unbelievable.

I went on my first forey dow the A470 towards Trefforest on my own Sunday evening.. 'twas ****ing down with rain, and I was stuck behind a BMW Z3 that was doing 50ish MPH.. so I thought sod that.. so I indicated to overtake.. pulled out, started to overtake.. and the fecker put his foot down.. got up to 80MPH, and the fecker still kept going, so I thought sod it.. its raining, Im still breaking in bits and bobs on the bike.. so slowed down, and went back in behind him... and he went back down to 50 MPH again!
I see that bugger again on a dry day after the bikes broken in.. I'll show him how crap that Z3 really is!

Probably more infuriating than all of the points already highlighted is when following a dangerous/inconsiderate or downright selfish action by a car driver, they have the f*cking audacity to begin ranting and raving at you as if you were to blame!
I no longer get upset with car drivers. I ignore their idiocies and conclude that they generally can't see me and therefore have adjusted my riding accordingly.
I think we tend to be more than a little arrogant as regards our right to use the road (which is strange as most of us drive cars as well) and I think this manifests itself in the way a lot of bikers show their disapproval when they allow a car driver to upset them which only inflames the situtation and puts the rider at greater risk.
If we wish to be seen in a good light and as responsible motorcyclists (note I refrain from using the word biker as it has sadly become synonymous with hooligan) then we ought to ride with a better attitude in order to promote ourselves as ambassadors of our beloved form of transportation.
Relax, keep cool and don't let the f*ckers annoy you.
(Actually that was a bit pompous wasn't it but I can't be bothered to rewrite it! I'm sure you get the gist of what I'm trying to say)

I don't think that anyone's posted this one so far....
Car drivers who turn left from the middle or right hand lanes.
I came off due to one of these shortly after I had passed my test. I was on a 125 with girlfriend on the back and a car shot across in front of me turning left from the middle lane. I hit the brakes hard and the front went. Fortunately wasn't going fast but g/f ended up on crutches for a while. ****ing car driver probably never even realised what they'd done.

I'm with jonboy on this.
Much as I hate seeing most of the activities listed already, they fall into 2 groups.
Firstly drivers who don't know what they are doing wrong, and secondly those who do and continue deliberately.
The former I keep a close watch on and then give them a wide berth, the later I back off from, smile and wave politely - don't give them the satisfaction of thinking they've made you see red.
There are of course the occasional exceptions to the rule

i think that the car (http://search.targetwords.com/u.search?x=5977|1||||cars|AA1VDw) test should be harder, the bike test is near impossible nowdays and there is alot to learn (you still havet o have lessons after 1 year on the road to get through it)
i have seen alot of new drivers (being around that age) and they scare me to death, boy racers in their novas and fiestas and girls who get confused in a crisis and panic and mo you down!
My best mate is a Audi Aprentice and is being charged £2500 to insure a £3000 ford Ka, what a rip off. and the same £2500 for a £300 vauxhal cavilar. wtf! How can thease 17-20 year olds afford to have novas tuned up? i though that the normal insurace would cripple them.

Back from it's week long death.....
Most dumbass cage drivers always think the biker is at fault, whatever the situation. Also, if there is a serious wreck, the witnesses always say the rider was going "over 100mph" or something like that. They just think sport riders are always doing something wrong. This is something that really ****es me off about them.
Here's a "for instance".
So, I was riding down the road about an hour ago, going 30-35mph in a 35mph road. Was behind this truck (a compact pickup) in the next lane over for a minutes or two went up to 40 or 45mph and started to go past the truck. I was along side him, and as I was almost passed him, I see him go into my lane (way into my lane, over halfway), so I speed up for a sec to avoid getting hit. He swerved back into his lane, I slow down and he pulls up next to me. He says to me "you need to watch out, you almost got creamed....bla bla bla"
I just tell him that he was the one that came into my lane. I started getting ****ed as he pulled away, so I got next to him and started going off a little at him.

No one ever said they never break th elaw on their bike, but what does a biker do that can really affect a car driver in a "bad" way by riding, or even riding "fast"?
I don't see many bikers (as in none) talking on cell phones, going way too slow, going in and out of their lane.
Even before I owned a bike, I gave bikers extra "respect". I give them more room, let them (or cars for that matter) pass me if for some reason I am going slow (which should never happen ). I don't even smoke in my car, and I sure as hell don't throw trash out the window. I stay in my lane, always alert of bikers and other cars, etc......
I don't see how bitching about what a lot of car drivers do to "screw over" bikers, and other people on the road is being hypocritical.
All the stuff listed in this thread are stuff drivers do that affect how a rider rides. Endangers riders, along with other cars. I don't see any biker endangering any autos, cuz they can't.

Drivers who see you coming and try and block you from filtering (but to be fair there are drivers who see me coming and move over to give me more room, much appreciated)
Drivers who open their windows while you are filtering and as soon as you pass them start shouting abuse at you (because they've been stuck in traffic for 10 minutes and don't see why you shouldn't be too)
Drivers who, once you've filtered in front of them at lights, try and knock you off (this does happen, purposefully accelerating at a crazy rate in the hope of rear ending you)
Drivers who accelerate past you (I'm in no hurry and actualy stick to the limits) at 60 in a 30, and then slow down to 25
Drivers who STILL use their mobiles, despite new legislation
Drivers who drive through school areas in the morning at 40 (I slow down to 15, ****es off other drivers, but that way I have plenty of time to stop myself from killing anyone running across the road)
Drivers who don't give a $U&* about hitting someone as they are in their bubble of invincibilty (where as you've all seen everyone's injuries on here, I do not yet know a biker apart from myself and my brother not to be in an accident[my father has a lovely scar running from his lip to his chin])
All that said, there are a lot of nice drivers, and I personally like kiddies in the back of the car waving at me, and if I'm stopped, I'll wave back.
This just keeps on coming up on this site and just about all other transport related sites.
How often do you put your bike away and think 'I couldn't have ridden that any safer / more considerately' ? When you can say '(nearly) all the time' then great - I'll listen to your grievances about other road users. strangely though, I don't think you'll be complaining though ...
Here's a big :notworthy:  to the truckers out there - they do a brilliant job. My kids' car club used to put tennagers (14-17) into artics (on airfields) so they could appreciate the problems facing truck drivers - it changed their attitude very quickly.
Other road users are not idiots - but we are all capable of making mistakes.
Oh yeah - and I still do get upset by other road users antics, so I guess I'm still learning.
There are a multitude of sins, but the worst by far are the idiots who run red lights.

However, a big gripe for us truckers is when the outside lane is empty and the Rover/Pug 106 driver is about to pass you doing 60mph in the middle lane, you indicate and they won't move over. THAT is inconsiderate and bad driving.
What the f*ck thinks he has the right to force other drivers out into the next lane?! It is not his decision to make. I absolutely HATE drivers (truck or car) who push out into a lane that is already occupied by someone who IS going faster than the traffic on his/her inside, forcing them to change lanes. It is inconsiderate and selfish!
aaaarrrrggghhh!!!
biggest hate that car drivers do happened 5 times last night to me....
driving at a ton in fog with about a metres visibility and then realising at the last minute somethings in front of them.....
I was down to 45/50 on the m25 having interesting carb icing experiences and 5 cars at different points came hacking up behind me and did last minute lane changes.... they were doing well over the speed limit..
dont they wonder why nearly every major pile up on a m/way usually happens when its foggy?? how can you speed when you cant see??

- Manouvre
