Hmmm...bit crap with maps, but looks like I could possibly find it. I'll be coming along the BWV Road and then onto the Hogs Back. How far do you rekcon it is from the Hogs back, and is it relatively easy to find?

OK, so why dont we stick with meeting at Box Hill since everyone can find that, and then ride to Newlands Corner when we are all there?

We could maybe meet somewhere in central Guildford, and then all get lost together whilst trying to find Newlands Corner?? :D

Cool. Well I'm up for meeting anywhere, as I'll be coming from Reading that day anyway, so anywhere is going to be a bit of a trek. So you guys fight it out amongst yourselves and I'll go with the flow :D

Edited @ 16:48 -

Actually, just looked at the map again, and the A25 looks really easy to find, coming from the Hogs Back. Would be more than happy to meet here if you chaps fancy a change of scenery.

Hi everyone,
As you can probably guess I'm a little new to the site (1st post!). Any objections to me joining you for your day out on Monday?
I usually go out on my own (main exception being the rideout last year), so it'd be good to meet up for a group ride once in a while.

Well, I've got a blue SV650S K2, which I've had for about a year and a half, and unlike most of those here I've done very little to it! Before that I had a Yamaha divvy, which I got just after passing my test nearly 3 years ago. Not long I know, and I'm still learning fast, so probably won't be as quick as you guys! but I'll try to keep up.

I moved down to feltham about a year ago from herts, and don't really know many bikers round here - hence the solo riding. I often used to commute by bike, but now I'm only a couple of miles from work, so it's just for fun.

Oh yes, and I'm better know as Jim.

Cheers, hopefully meet you on Monday.

Newlands corner,
From Guildford; last turning on right before road bends to left and goes downhill ( great view over valley)

Towards Guildford; First turning on Left at top of hill (Drove Road).

It's about 10 min (maybe 15) on a blat from Boxhill.

Cheers Mark.

Go straight on off the Hog's Back (not onto the A3) into the town centre. Througn the centre following the signs to Dorking.

You'll turn right at a roundabout in the town, straight through some lights then left at the next IIRC. Through some more lights (speed camera just after them) then you'll come to a roundabout just past Merrow, turn 3rd exit right, you'll go back on yourself and left round a church, then up to the end of the round and Newlands Corner is there on your right at the junction.

Thanks to Joe for organising it and leading, and thanks to Doug and Mark for junction-marking!
