£50 for the MOT
MOT shouldn't be more than £20 should it? I've found a place in London that does it for 15.50.
Touring Scotties ROCK!!

I thought MOT was a fixed price? Unless you're paying for pre-test prep, which you probably shouldn't...

Looking at how the Scottoiler's plumbed into mine, it shouldn't take atrained mechanic half an hour to fit, but I'm not sure how much the touring kit costs.

Bridgestones tend to be more expensive (I know I keep saying this, but my Roadtecs were £180 fitted, less than I was quoted just for an 010/020 set.)

How many miles is the service?

too right i am still in shock.

wont have exact breakdown till i go in but roughly this

205 tyres fitted
150 scottoiler fitted (touring kit is about 20 quid more expensive to buy)
rest for the service (specifically asked for shims and valves etc to be checked
mot for free as i am spending plenty on everything else.

think bill includes around 8 hrs labour

my 15,000 service from Daytona Islington was £215 and that included shims etc.

i know i did fancy doing the whole service myself but six week old and working 6 12 hour days a week means i have zero time.

U sure u need the touring scottoiler? I found the old one I had (non-touring one) would last 100's of miles on the right setting, could get over 1000 if I was careful. Only takes an hour or so to fit one though.

I'd do the valve clearances myself and save a bit... if you have no time there's not much choice. Could save some £ on tyres by going for Conti road attacks or something similar (cheaper than BT20s)- seen them for about £130, prob another £30 to get them fitted.

Maybe have a chat and ask them to leave the valve clearance check, or tell them you already did it... then hope that your bike isn't in the 1% that actually need any adjustment at that mileage...
