Odd light set up on mates K2 650s

My mate has a K2 650S and the two front indicators are always on ( not flashing...just on) and of course the head light is on as well - low beam which is one of the twin head lamps . The little light in the centre also on..

I think the indicators being on is a wiring problem but he thinks it's normal and it is a Japanese market spec ( which it may be). I think it might confuse other road users and he should sort it before he gets run down.

Anyone seen this before ???

I've not seen it myself, but I have heard something about running lights. Perhaps that's what they are. Not convinced it's strictly allowed in the UK, though; it probably isn't actually disallowed either.

I belive you normally get that with an American spec bike :?: but it should flash as normal when the switch is used. My import XR250 was the same set up.
