KTM 990 Duke

Hi All, Has anyone seen anything of the new KTM 990 Duke? V- 75 so it's allowed! :lol: I have to say it has got me a thinking! A bit quirky and ugly in a strange kind of way but has a certain something about it! Gonna call my man José at the dealers later to see how many pennies they cost. If I can blag a test ride and it does what I want I could be swayed from my lusting after an RSV! After all due to fast approaching old fartiness perhaps I need to go for a more err " sensible" looking bike! :roll:

Watched the vid, TBH I can't see what all the fuss was about. OK he goes a bit fast and interprets filtering - but you'd hardly expect a promo vid, esp for a bike like this, to show a nice sedate 40mph would you?

In my Top 4 Likely Next Bikes When I Can Afford The Next Bike (in 2006 I reckon), the Duke 990 (AFAIK KTM have never called it the Superduke) or the Supermoto 950 are strong contenders (along with the new Speed Triple and Daytone 650) Hopefully there'll be some sued ones around by then :)
