Renewing road tax online

I saw the post a while back that it's now possible to renew your tax online and since mine is now due, decided to have a go.

Turns out they couldn't locate my insurance, despite it being with Carole Nash (quite a big firm?) and having taken it out 6 months ago - not like it wouldn't be in the system?

Just wondered if anyone has managed it with their bike.

Yes. Perhaps although with Carole Nash your actual policy is with someone unusual like Nigerian Moped and Cow Insurance Spam Inc.

I was surprised mine worked as my insurance expires same day as the tax (like many peoples).

We got the car renewal through but no mention of doing it online.

Is it only available on vehicles less than 3 years old, i.e no MOT yet ?

If they can (or can't as the case may be...) cross reference car insurance, why can't they cross reference MOT's :?: :?

Good point, although it's with AXA - I'd have thought they'd be online!
