Hello folks,
I need to replace the steering head bearings on my SV. I got the bearings, but now need the special Suzuki tool to refit & tighten down the
large special nut just under the upper triple clamp.
It's a long shot but has anyone close to Dublin got one I could borrow or
does any one know if it is possible to make your own(as I can imagine it is expensive to get from Suzuki).
If I can't get one, does anyone know if it makes a huge difference if you:
Tighten it up using a hammer & punch, until all play is removed from steering, but steering still falls easily side to side,
or
Go strictly by the manual using the special tool & torque settings?
Thanks,
George
