I going past a speed camera today at just under 30mph (30mph limit) and was doubled flashed! I go past the same camera every day of the week and have done for years, so am always particularly concious of sticking within the limit.

I was not exceeding the limit so was shocked that I was flashed. There wasn't anyone else around or coming in the opposite direction so I'm at a loss as to why it went off. I am 100% sure that I was under the limit so it's either been set very low to freak out drivers like myself or it's faulty.

So what should I do now? Wait and see or do I report a faulty speed camera? Any thoughts?

Sometimes people going fast in the other direction can trigger them off, that's probably what happened...

No harm in a quick email to your local "Motorist Fleecing Unit" and the call to the local police station.

And, as Patch says, wait to see if a NIP arrives.

Mind you, if it is faulty they'll be inundated with "alleged offences" and that in itself will cause them to Think! (pun intended  )

These things occasionally go a bit "wonky"
Coming home the other evening in the dark, the camera on the opposite side of the road was flashing continuously

they have to recalibrate/service them regularly otherwise you can get off on this technicality...
