Hi all
I fitted my viper race can 2 days ago, and heres my views so far:
the can has made the world of difference to my ride, putting a grin on my face even sitting at the lights! its loud, but not so loud that it will trigger in peoples heads that its deinfitly illegal.
the can sounds best in the lower revs, really having a nice rumble, giving off the pops/crackles/bangs as i ease off the throttle. odd that it sounds best when not revving it madly!
higher revs: its a fair bit louder than the stock, but loses some of its deep sound from 7,000+. ashame really as the best power is at about that point or higher. dont get me wrong though, it still sounds good, just not as deep.
build quality wise its a stainless can, so has a good solid feel to it. its stainless, with a brushed type look, if that makes sense. says 'competition use only' at the end of it, under the vent hole.
ive been past a few police so far, and although they have given me a good look over, they dont seem very concerned.
the best bit of course is the fact that i started to see car drivers look at me in their mirrors, then move accordingly. feels alot better when i know a driver has seen me:)
the cost? £67!!! so its not carbon fibre, and its not as flash as a twin rene system by a long shot, and it doesnt sound quite as good as them either, but for £67 i dont think u can beat it.
hope this helps people when deciding.
