I have tonight sold Bullseye to TinCan, also known as Will. Please give him a warm welcome to the SV family. He has faithfully promised to look after the bike and take it to Soho every so often.
It was quite a sad moment, but Billy was here to hold my hand and deal with a flat battery.
So, that's the end of my biking career. It's been fun, and it's had it's moments, but I'll live to ride pillion if you'll have me.

My Hornet's seat is pretty comfy, so I'm told. Yours if ever we're in the same place and you need a lift
Will you still get down to Soho sometimes?
Debs you're a star. I admire your bravery in quiting and feel for your loss of freedom as regards actually riding. I'm sure there'll be plenty of offers to ride pillion and I look forward to seeing you down at Nero's, as you're not getting away from us that easily.

Coolgirl. I haven't met you either, but read many of your messages and also the thread that first announced you were having to give up biking and the reasons for it. It pretty clear you're popular amongst the group and glad you still want to be around bikes and the Soho massive. Hope everythings works out for you and keep the good attitude, its a example to all of us!
I don't really know u Coolgirl but I know your situation and you've got my utmost sympathy.
Dunno how I'd cope with it. At least you can still be part of the biking community tho. Seems there's LOADS of peeps who'll take u two up.
:)
All the best.
Aww, sorry to hear you finally had to sell debs.
If I had a pillion seat (hey, if i even had my own bike at the moment) it would be on offer to you.
Dan
Hey, all the best, Debs.
I guess it's one of those hands that life deals us all sooner or later. Shame about having to give up the piloting, but with all the friends here I'm sure you'll keep in contact with the crowd. :grouphug:
I would just like to say that Debs isnt ignoring you, its that she not near a PC at the mo. Im sure she will collcect your messages when she gets near one.

So Debs, was it better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?
(I think I already know the answer)
Hope to see you soon (Traffic Wardens allowing) down at the old So-ho.
You are a brave and inspirational person.

I take my hat off to you Debs. There will always be a place on my bike for you. That means that I will have to make an effort to get to Soho now and no excuses.

You'd be more than welcome to my pillion seat (if I still had one ) D'Oh :!: #-o
Take care - Hope to finally meet you at a bash soon
At least the lovely silver SV lives to fight another day :D
Hi Debs
Your memory lives on in my bike! I bought the Renegade oval titanium can from you well over a year ago and its still going strong scaring old ladies and small children!
All the best

hi guys
Thanks again for all the warm words. for those of you that missed it (I think the original post got lost in the recent forum meltdown), I'm having to give up riding as I'm losing my sight.
Anyway, I'm on holiday in Canada right now and it's bloody freezing, so not missing riding at all!
To my shame, amidst the heartbreak and in the rush to leave the country, I forgot to say a big thank you to all my SV stabelmates that I've ridden and hung out with over the last few years, particularly the Soho Masive, Essex Boys and Selkenters who have been on rideouts, Eurotouring and trackdays without losing their patience with me. Sorry about the eyebrows
Thanks also to the .org for all the support and encouragement over the last few months, and particularly big thanks to Viney, Rictus, Sarj, Moriarty and Billy for getting me through the technical and emotional process of prepping and selling the bike.
See you all soon
Debs

I dunno what to say so I wont say anything,, Damm I just said something.
Take care mate and I hope to see you soon.
This really is the end of an era but at least I wont be the only bikeless one who occasionally turns up at Nero's from now on.
At least I won't be embarrased anymore by a Silver SV blasing past me in Parlament Square and making me look slow. I was going slower than you because I wasn't sure of what exit to take. Honest
Yet another person who hasn't been here long and don't know you from Adam (or rather, Eve)... but you have my respect for a couragous attitude under difficult circumstances.
Wishing you all the best.
Deb's, give me a call if you wanna ride a bike sometime...
You can have a go on my minimoto anytime!!!
It's great fun and not a lot of danger either...
Take care...
Kev...
