I haven't tried them on a bike, but the oxtar infinity boots look ok and are goretex lined.

I've got Sidi Vertibras and they're great. Mostly waterproof, unless its absolutely chucking it down. Do squeek a bit from time to time due to the armour in the back, but this can be cured by a drop of WD40 :D
Did 280 miles yesterday without getting cold piggies

I've got the vertebra 2's which are excellent. Really comfy & only leaked once when riding 120 miles in the ****ing rain.
Best bet is to try them on at local dealer.... then buy them off the web.
Picked mine up brand new for £90.
Sidi... what more do you need to know?
I've got the Vertigo Corsa and they seem to be pretty good. I get really cold feet and they seem to be warm enough and dry enough 99% of the time. Really comfortable as well with the strap thing that you can tighten across the instep. They squeak though but apparantly WD40 fixes that. Saying that though it's the first pair of boots i've had so i'm probably not in a great position to give a particularly helpful view :? :)
Sidi Black Rain Evo are top of my list at the moment.
hmmm, i just bought some frank thomas waterproof boots. Unfortunately they're too big so i'm going to put em up for sale. check the for sale section if you're interested in a bargain.

I Bought a Pair of Sidi vertibra 2 back in august, never had a problem with them and the adjusters on the back to loosen or tighten the backs up are a great idea
Sidi Black Rain Evo are top of my list at the moment.
they sounded good - but didnt look that great.
plus id look like a hornet rider :(
Sidi Black rain - not for someone who takes a broad fitting.
My normal size is 7,1/2, went to 8,1/2 on these and they still din't feel comfortable.
I am now the proud owner of a pair of Sidi Black rains.
Ordered them last Sat. from Cissbury leathers for £100 and received them on Wednesday.
Ordered them as a result of the positive comments on the forum and must say I am not disappointed.
Excellent boots.
Good man, mine are 2 years old and still going strong, by the way like all boots the front toe will get caught, and flap about a bit. Shove a bit of super glue on it and it will never come unstuck again.

I need a better pair of booties too, I've just spoken with a guy in Infinity and he says the Vertebra 2s are definitely not waterproof?
I'm after something to keep my tooties warm and dry, whatever the weather.
Just had a thought (yes yes, don't go there), am I expecting too much by assuming boots will be completely waterproof and toastie?
My current pair are Belstaff something or other and whilst my feet have stayed pretty warm, they leaked slightly on the top where the stitching is. This was during last week when it didn't stop raining and I was out in it all day. Is that the best I can expect?

Did you do what I did and forget to put the boots inside the leg of your trousers?
Lol, didn't forget - can't get the trousers on the inside anyway. It didn't make any difference, the water was soaking through on the top of the boot where the stitching is. My feet weren't too bad, just the socks on the top had damp patches and considering the weather I didn't think that was too bad(I had also ended up putting my foot up to my ankle in a puddle). My instructor, however, was saying I should take them back as they were sold to me as totally waterproof.
I do find them very comfortably though.

Good chemists arent they, but not as cheap as LLoyds.
My HG Goretex ones were so waterproof they filled with water when I left my trousers tucked in. Nice and warm etc and dry but got battered and not nice looking after a year only.
I was dubious about the ankle protection which is a big source of complications if you take a hit there so I got something else now. Those Sidi'd seem popular but dont look as good protection as the Vertebra's. Becasue I was worried about my legs a lot I bought a pair of these:

Bugger to change gear with though, and didnt suit the SV. So be careful what you buy  Also I definitely cant ride in the rain now as my trousers wont go over them.
I got sick of rip off prices for boots and a couple of years ago bought a pair of Prexport mid range tour/race boots.
£45 made of leather and have survived 2 years and I suppose a couple more to come
I've had Sidi Black Rains. They lasted a couple of years but didn't allow feet to breath. They were rain proof but the material is not hard wearing in a crash.
