Nice, USD Forks and Digi Clocks are the only changes from the 03/04 Hornet.
Nice with the extras on as well.

If they're fitting USD forks to budget bikes like the hornet it's only a matter of time before the SV650/1000 will have them as standard.

Ooh no!

Each to their own, but it looks better without all the tarting up!

Actually, if I ever buy a hairnet it'd have to be the 900. Wonder if that's also wearing USD front and digi clox this year?

No, that's due for replacement next year...

Looking at my earlier post I must have been hypoglycemic or summat. I'd NEVER buy a H*nda

I agree, although there's an unobtrusive-looking fly-screen available that doesn't spoil things too much.

They've added USD forks but kept the old twin-pot sliding pin calipers :?

There are also some minor changes to the engine/carbs designed to "make it even livelier" (Honda's words, not mine  )

Nothing that's going to make me get up and trade in.

A 1000CC version of the hornet i hope, with better suspension. I could be fordced for one of them, but i do fancy that new hornet. I shall check out dobles at the weekend to see if any prices have been released. However, who am i kidding, unless its £1.27, then i cant afford sh.t :(

i was just quessing to be honest. I would imagine that this is what they will do. My mate jacko used to have a H9 coverd some 40k in a year on it, never let him down...but thats what comes of having to write the suns bike column! Anyway, he said, the only thing let it down was the non adjusatbility of the suspension! He now has a Tuono, lucky begger

A situation sorted in 2004

I understand the 900's midrange wallop to be something quite wonderful as peak torque is very healthy and comes in at low revs (about 4.5 - 5k). They're not selling very well at the moment (Fazer 1000s seem to be the bike of choice in this sector) and so dealers are selling new 900s for about £5k. That's a lot of bike for the money, and its better built than the Fazer.

I can't help thinking that the 2005 Hornet 600 is a bit of a stop-gap and there will be brand new models of both next year.

That's a complete nutter of a bike

Wow, that really is as bland as the old one! IMHO
Whilst i am not arguing the fact that Honda may make very well built bikes, they also make some of the most dull looking machines on the market. Is it just me or is the new CBR RR the worst looking of the supersport bunch......underseat exhausts or not?!

They make the best looking tourers/sports tourers IMO.

Sports etc.... are just too clinical/boring.

Quite nice, think they're trying to clone the z1000 a bit tho

Andrew?
