Thanks all. Could have been much worse, the thought running through my head as I was sliding was that Im gonna be run over by someone coming the other way (it was only quite a narrow road). I got away with bit of whiplash which has all but gone now and bruising on my leg. The mrs got concussion but not too severley (she could still remember her name!) and is very achey.
As the bike slid the damage was fairly limited, broken front plastic on left, broken indicators, dented tank, broken left footpeg/gear change and the exhaust on the right is dented, presumably from where he hit me.
Police attended, said they were gonna charge him with dangerous driving. Hopefully they did. And there were two witnesses, both truck delivery drivers who saw it all.

Hopefully.
At least the one that gave me a lift to the hospital was.
Very sorry to hear this, but glad that you are both basically okay!
Both get yourself checked out, get medical reports etc. Obviously... Call his insurance company, call a solicitor... sit back and wait for the cheques!
They'll probably want to write the bike off... which puts you in a similar situation as Dan - Sudoxe. :(
What a knobber... knocking TWO people of a motorbike!

I think if they haven't done the running-over/hitting etc... they're probably quite honest!

It was more than incredible, really didn't expect it but these two guys stopped and then the guys in the factory next to where we went down came up and offered their yard to stash the bike in till I could pick it up. They even locked it up for me. Top blokes. They were bikers aswell you see. And when the coppers showed up they knew what had happened straight away, seemed to be on my side all the way.
Hope it doesn't get written off. I want my bike back.
Got medicals, talked to my insurance and solicitors the next day.
Other thing that pi$$es me off is the kit that was all of 4 weeks old is now effectively ruined. Grrr.

Glad you're OK. It sounds as if it could easily have been much more serious. You ought to be able to claim for the kit. Solicitor should be able to advise you on that.

When you get the bike back, head off down the A6 to Disley and have a pint in The Dandy ****
Tell the landlady that her brother sent you

Cool! I know the one. One of my Mrs favouite things is to ride to Buxton, so we've passed it loads of times. Cheers.
