How can you guys not go watch GP live at the track???
I went every year for 5 years, we had to travel for 2 hours to get to Welkom and then we would pitch our tents at the track (AWESOME FUN)

Thanks to our wonderful goverment we will no longer be seeing our heros in South Africa.

Oh yeah you guys are b@st@rds cause you can go to the TT :D

I shall be going to several BSB meets again this year - hopefully I'll be fit enough to be there in an official capacity wearing bright orange overalls!

I will also be at the GP at Donington (again, hopefully fit enough to Marshal there!)

And chutz, BillyC and I are most likely going to the Valencia MotoGP round! :D :D :D

I will also be at Brands World Supers and perhaps Silverstone as well!!

Bring it on!!

I'm going to Assen in September, just booked the Stenaline Seacat from Harwich, £76 return thanks to the MCN/Ride discount offer!
See you there!!
BTW - I'm originally from S****horpe, so it must be me?

Yeh, can do...My work takes me to The Netherlands every month (not on the bike), I'm in Amsterdam at the moment. Also, I have friends in Zwolle, whom I go to Assen with - last year I hired an SV1000 from TT Motoren in Zwolle and my friend hired a GSX1400 - Great fun!!

Last year I went to Valencia and Catalunya by bike. Great ride through France and the Pyrenees. Will be going again this year for Catalunya, riding down over 2 days and staying at the same great hotel in Sabadell.

Be good to meet up with anyone else planning on being there. Circuit de Catalunya really is the best track on the calendar in terms of facilities.

Hey, if anyone has any space available in their little travel group, PM me :) . I am thinking about going to one of the races but being new to this whole biking scene and doing something like this is a bit scary at the moment. Maybe I'm just being silly but i would'nt have a clue as to where to start to organise something like this.

Not much organising really. Just a load of Michelin maps, a eurotunnel return ticket (cause i gets sea sick) and a credit card.

I'd be happy to ride along with people from Amsterdam to Assen (or Utrect to Assen).

But... AS I have a Dutch plates I have to keep to around the speed limit so 60-75 mph I'm afraid...

Plus you have to be very careful around Assen - they do lots of speed checks on racing weekends, and they will check your exhaust for legality - and Dutch police will issue on the spot fines!

I thought it would be like that. I like the tunnel but I dont get cheap tickets anymore because I stopped working there 2yrs ago...so the ferry it will be then!
My other concern about doing this on my own for the first time is that I may get bored...it's always nice to have like-minded peeps about.

A load of us are going to Assen for the WSB and me on my own for the TT (and to see a mate near by) so if any one does want to meet up will get something sorted nearer the time. 8)

well if you're planning on going then post your plans. I'm very poor with the planning and this year I'll be even worse as my final exam is June 1st and Catalunya is June 12th, i'll be doing chaotic revision but if it goes well a ride to spain is a great way to celebrate. I tend to get the race tickets safe in the knowledge that I can ebay them but chunnel tickets and accomadation all falls into place in the last few weeks.

Had a look at tickets for the tunnel and they seem to be the cheapest for crossings at the moment.
