I can do this on my R1, not sure how easy it will be on an SV though !!!
GL :)
Its a little bit harder, but then I have a uneven drive. Plus the large side stand end makes it a bit more difficult, but I've done it. Its even easier with the wifes Duke, but she don't like me doing it.
My b/f tried to do this with the SV on Friday and dropped it - thankfully he also serves as a cushion. He has no problem doing this with the R1.
I won't be giving it a go ...

I won't be giving it a go ...lol sorry that made me smile, did he cause any damage or was it just a bruised ego?
I did that on Friday, although I didnn't use the side stand. I used the side of the bike. Oh and it was 30 feet further up the road than when I started the manouvre.

Right, fess up your 'jonboy' manoeuvre. What happened?
All explained here (http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?p=230094#230094)
The sidestand trick has been around a long while. Easy to hurt yourself unless you're on a flat surface.
Easy with the SV if you lean all the weight onto your hip/thigh. If YOU fall it'll land on you, as you pull it down.
Videotape your first attempt

Severly bruised ego - he did it in front of about 30 of his mates :D

Well, I can VERY EASILY spin an R6 and an R1 but today when I tried to spin wiltshire7's SV it was really hard, it was as though the stand was too far back and when I tried to balance it all the weight was at the front making it VERY HARD to spin !!!
