bandit helmets?

i was wondering if anyone has any experience with the helmet line. i was thinking of picking one up.

i ran into a site stating it's not tested to the norm of ECE 22/05. i'm not sure what that means. i'm use to DOT and SNELL. can someone explain this to me. thanks...

I think they are still illegal to use here. Saw something about them doing some road legal ones here for this year though.

That visor bolt looks kind of odd.
The Simpson may be a better proven bet. If you have the cash the Arai-Tour X (XD) is a great helmet and the peak is removable to reveal a similar looking style.
