Hello all...

I was looking at the Simpson Super Bandit helmet.

Does anyone have it? what are your impressions? Is the helmet street legal? Is the helmet for motorcycle use? From what I've been reading its for car racing use. thanks...

A mate of mine has one, now while he loves the helmet and it seems to perform just fine. Some of the build quality is a bit naff, like the visor does not fit correctly and lets in alot of wind. When he sent it back, they did a bit of a bodge and then got told thats how they are. Had to fill the gaps him self, which is not what you expect from a 300 quid helmet. But hey, its for the car really.

Though they might have improved that as it was about a year and half ago.
looks mean though...

Is the helmet street legal?

Yeah. They used not to be because they don't have a BS mark. However, they now have EU marks and so are legal.

Thats a lot of dosh for what is at best an averagely-built helmet. They do look good, but so does a Takai Terror for £100.

I got a Takai Terror from Hein Gericke. Bear in mind it comes with a 10% tinted visor, so it'll be another £20 for a clear visor.
