the question is, how easy is it to do i DIY job on the belly pan from a can of spray paint from halfords?...

 .......errrmm, Yo to you too, Dude.

Anyhow. I'd say how bad can it look? And if it does, then just get the professional spray you may have got in the first place. Potential loss a few quid, potential saving about £40.

Halfords don't do bike paints, but you can probably get quite close... Or there's companies that sell bike paint in aerosol cans. Maybe Banditmania?

Thing is though... With most paints, you'll need a can of primer, a can of your main coat and a can of clearcoat, plus a supply of wet and dry... Weighed against the cost of spraying one panel, you might not save much. I'd drop Big Al at Justpainted www.justpainted.com a line and see what he'd charge you...

Halfords got the paint i need for £2.79

Metalic car spray paint (water proof) prety much identical to the colour of K3 silver...

would rather spend £50 doing a DIY job that will prob look not to bad than pay £230 odd for the "official" suzuki part....

will post pics once i have done it.....

Aye, but that stuff wants a primer and top coat, assuming it's the same stuff they sell in my local Halfords, and the tiny cans don't go far- one of the big cans didn't quite do my dads wing mirrors, put it that way.

Though I totally get the DIY thing, it'll cost me a good chunk of the cost of a pro job to do my bike myself and chances are it'll not be as good as Al would have done it for me, but it'll be all mine... So best of luck to ya.

I spoke to a Blade owner in my branch who'd had his resprayed, he was complaining about the colour the shop had chosen- he'd literally ridden it in and said "Just respray it a cool colour" What a knob...
