just been told by Bennetts they wont insure me with my after market exhausts as they increase the performance.
totally bizarre as I've been insured with them before.

Im with carole nash and all they asked about mine was if it was road legal.
Sorted.
usually its the underwriter rather than benetts themselves who won't insure the race can
well looks like i need to call up some other providers then bennetts will only cover me if i use road legal cans,
equity red star wont cover me unless i used the original suzuki exhausts

Oooooh, not good, that's who my cover's with & I haven't called them yet.
On a slightly different note, how easy is it to swap underwriters mid-term and how expensive is it likely to be? :?
Went with Motorcycle direct in the end Fully comp £440.
They insured me with EQuity Red Star, and the road legal exhausts must have the Kite mark on them, not just BS-whatever

Agreed. Carole Nash's Ikons policy allows any can whatsoever but others they do, don't - so it's worth asking.
.
After all this 'no changing of cans' i got scared, very scared, what would i do i i was forced to remain standard for the next 10 months?! Called MCE and they don't charge anything, all you have to do is let them know that you've changed it...phew :D
I was with Motorcycle Direct (Equity Red Star) when I got my new cans. They wanted to have BS standard kite makes before they would cover me.
AFAIK, you dont get cans with BS kitemarks anymore..
So I've binned MCD and gone with Carole Nash. They just wanted to know if my cans were road legal or not. They were cheaper too!
