Hum, that was really weird, i posted that post as part of a new thread and it's mystically appeared in this one :?
Hi Nutty,
I remember you've stated in the past the advantages of IAM membership. I received IAM membership for crimbo. Do you know of any other groups other than Glasgow North? I'm a Glasgow South svrider!

Come and join us at Glasgow north we're a great bunch, to be honest I think the 'North' bit is a misnomer as a lot of the guys are from the southside...
Once you get used the the principles of IAM riding you'll be quicker from A 2 B...
its every wednesday 6:30 at the Crow Road McD's don't know when it starts usually 1st week in April, the guys (and galls) are great people so you'll have fun at the same time...

my god someone listened to me. i knew prattling on about it for long enough would work.
there is a greenock group but its a lot smaller. glasgow north we have them coming from edinburgh, callendar, helensburgh. we have about 50 regulars (in the good weather) if its a rainy night or the football is on it drops to about 20.
come along to our group at least you will know some friendly faces, well me a nd dean anyway.

Dinnae scare 'em off!
Thanks for the info,
April is a while of yet, give me the chance to finish putting her back together. I had a small off in the office car park in November. That was embarrassing falling off when friends are watching doh. Still getting the **** ripped out me for that one.
Gives me the excuse to fix-up some of the more rusty looking bits.

Once I'm back in riding shape I'll be looking up the Edinburgh group as well... You know it makes sense! I looked at Bikesafe but it's a bit of a joke through here, it took them 3 months to get back to me and when they did, they had a 6-month waiting list
If I can become an official Advanced Motorcclist, it'll undermine everyone's confidence in the system of course, so perhaps I shouldn't :)
