Fitted some today and had the same problems with throttle slider as others have mentioned on here. I ran them for about 10 mins and I must say they only seemed warm and not too hot at all. Is that par for the course with these things? They are meant for alloy bars (2004/5 model) and came with a beanie hat!

Nope!
In the very short time I had mine fitted before my bike was wrecked (30 mins or so!) I had had to turn them down at least twice! Once at the end or the road which adjoins mine... All of 5 minutes maximum into my ride!
Sounds to me like there's something wrong there!!

Those ones should work well... I could do with mine being hotter, but not often.
Are you judging that by leaving them on for a bit then touching them? Because they only really work when being gripped, since your hands prevent the heat from just escaping.

Yep I've just run them and them felt them. I've not used them whilst riding yet, but will try tomorrow.
Cheers Gents.

Tried and tested - see what you mean about the heat when the grips are being gripped. Definitely working well.
Thanks Again

That's because now you're just warming your hands, instead of trying to heat the entire atmosphere up :)
