what?

need to fit R&G's to my beautiful faired sled, i need a dremel tool to cut part of the fairing.

went to B&Q yesterday, there's 67 million types and sizes of dremel accesories ,including an auto "Kit" but at £30 sod that.

so.....what size and or what? please

I would imagine it would require a grinding wheel or sanding wheel type attachment... Just something that will work in a circular motion from the centre outwards, to make a hole just big enough for the bung.
The thing to be cautious of is that the plastic from the fairing will melt onto the bit and clog it up if you use too fine a grade of sandpaper or grinding bit or if you run the dremel too fast!
If you don't already have a dremel tool, I can highly recommend B&Q's own thingumy... I bought one for abot £30 including hundreds of bits, a flexible hose-type extension (incredibly useful!) and even a stand to put it all in. I bought it for one specific job about 9 months ago & have used it on literally hundreds of jobs since! Well worth the cash!

where's my reply gone???

cheers for that tim. i saw the auto kit in b&q and the 30 quid price tag kinda put me off. as i figured it would be a one trick pony and i'd never need it again, but if it has several uses i may well put my hand in my pocket!

nice one

I used a flap sander thing and a normal drill, and a hacksaw to cut the flats... I don't think it could be done any better to be quite immodest about it :) Theflap bit was just slightly larger than the bung so it fits perfectly

When I fitted mine I used the sanding band and sanding band drum cuts through the fairing very well you just need to experiment with the speed.
