Or try H&R, I have just redone mine through them. With 1yr no claims they have halved my insurance to £180. I even got a quote on a Fazer 1000 which came in at £330 so as soon as I can fix the SV and get rid of it...

Scooby, was the 180 fully comp ?
I thought I had done not too bad with 244 fully comp with just 1 year NCB (Bennets) but if yours is fcomp then will be trying them next time.

motorcycle direct is who i am with just now.......
and yes...it will be the sv650s for me for a bit longer.....not that i am complaining...great we looking bike and can shift......just do not like the sound of the factory fitted exust!...lol...i want a bassier, deeper sound....plus the fairing would be nice as well.......one thing at a time!

I'm with Motorcycle Direct too, £655 fully comp with 0 NCB. At 24 I thought this was pretty good but I'm definately changing this year as the £650 XS would be a real killer.
Ta for the other recomendations. Fazer thou Scooby? You hooligan!
As for a pipe there are plenty out there that will make the SV sounds superb, I'd recomend a scorpion, although there are 2 silver K3's in the Ecosse Posse with them!!!

£650 fully comp?!?!
metal!!....
last year i was 22 when i got my sv650s....
motor cycle direct wanted £420 fully comp for a 22 year old (with 3 sp30 points!!) with ZERO no claims bonus when i went to them this time last year...
i do have a car lisence as well, select under 5k miles a year, its garaged and data taged......u in same situation then?
...but £650 sounds steep when sum1 younger on same bike can get it cheaper!
again,...just shows that insurance companies are F****** shocking!!!

it's my first year, O no claims or experience so that makes a big difference. it was by far the best quote I could get, the next cheapest was over a grand!
we'll see what they want when my renewal quote comes in.

That is TPFT. I live in the middle of Edinburgh so... Comp was £440 but as I am looking at upgrading to a Fazer thou... The thing about the bigger bike is its far more comfortable and a lot less work to ride quickly. I doubt that I would be riding much harder than I do now...

last year i was £192 fully comp with bennetts, no alarm or immobiliser, kept in the street, illegal end can and 3 points
not bad i thought
but then i am a dozy git with 3 years no claims and iam pass
Yeah Baz all the companies were well over 800 0 claims 0 experience when I got my bike last year. Motorcycle direct quoted me 400. I nearly bit their hand off. As with car insurance it does pay to shop around though.
