View Full Version : Took the plunge
Ok done it, been a few months looking, but I took a SV650s for a test drive on Saturday, Loved it so I decided to buy it. There is/has been a few for sale in Scotland recently and this was the best priced one for the age and mileage, so I am very happy
Found it very lurchey at first but soon got used to it (Haven’t been on a motorbike since I passed my test in November) and after having passed on a CB500 I noticed a big difference in peformance and fun to ride
I pick up the bike next Saturday then I can officially join the SV650 elite :D
Welcome on board. Take it easy and rubber side down.

welcome, have a good time and be carefull... Hope to see you out at some point with the madding hoards during the summer!!!
Welcome saffen, May I congratulate you on your most excellent choice in motorcycles. That easy twist throttle of the SV  :o compared to the hard twist throttle on my VS1400 took some getting used too. Ride safe and post often!
Cheers, Richard
Welcome Saffen, ride safe and have fun.

That was harsh Nutty. I was warned off going out that weekend by my biking buddies at work. I duly bowed to their experience only to see the sun part the clouds at 11am and mock me even more.
