I should be off work (as long as i dont spunk any more of their overtime) so will be there with me little toy.
well I have fitted teh front wheel and the front calipers, So hopefully by next Wednesday I will be ready, all I got to do is.
Fill and bleed front brakes.
Fit rear wheel, caliper, exhaust, rear shock. Fill the rear brakes, bleed, adjust the chain, fit new jets, new BMC filter, re-pack exhaust etc etc etc, so hopefully I will be ready in a week.

Will that be rizla green then Si ?
No, sorry mate not yet, I have primed some of the panels, but it has been really too cold to do top coats, etc. I'm just trying to get the thing back on the road, but looking at the wheels, calipers, and swing arm, they look mint, I think in the summer it will be engine out and from powder coated black.
sexysi
Nice, I'll be doing my wheels, calipers and swingarm, I've got a 2nd swingarm almost, but bike will have to go off road to do wheels
Wheels come in @ £120 all in, Ian you will have to buy new wheel bearings and fit them afterwards.
The Calipers, are now bright red they where expensive, the 2 fronts cost me £90 sprayed with 2k paint. The rear was £35.00.
The swing arm with the ends of the swing are and the tension arm come in @ £30.00. From a guy @ sidcup motorcycles called Marc.
Nice guy, good service, even drilled and fitted a new bleed nipple and chucked in a set of rear pads for free.
Now he is trying to convince me to get the frame powdercoated.
sexysi
I'll find out for you mate.
sexysi
I looked into getting frame powdercoated before the price is not too bad if you can take bike apart and put back yourself, if you add labour for someone to do it and put back together again it reaches silly money...
With the swing arm off, you need to take the exhaust and the rear shock off anyway, there ain't much left on the bike to take off then.

Nooo, just the engine the loom, the radiator, all the electrics, the rear subrafame, every nut and bolt, the triple clamp forks, all the bearings out, degrease the frame then having to rethread all the bolt holes etc etc. Na, mate not a lot
There is a place up norf that quotes £65 for frame and arm. Triple S or something like that they are called.
Better off going for a polished frame as you dont have to remove the bearings, and rethread holes etc. By the time you have finished, you really have to aks yourself, is it worth it. Powecer coating looks a bit wierd on a frame.
Sorry, got side tracked there. Cant make the 23rd, i shall be doing overtime earing £10.50 and hour ;)

Looks like I may not be there now, as my new toy is already back at the dealers!
It's spewing coolant fluid out of the breather pipes and they have it for a while to sort it... I can't imagine it'll be back by Wednesday but I'll keep my fingers crossed! They have loaned me a nackered out Bandit 1200 but it's really uncomfortable to ride due to having upright bars and these hurting my wrists (clipons don't for some reason!! ).
I suppose I might make it in the van but I dunno if I'll have the heart.
