Hi

If I'm crusing around on the bike with the revs between 5000 and 6000 revs and open up throttle, the power dies for a secondm or so before picking up and pulling away.

Any suggestions?

does it do it in nice weather or just poor weather?

Could be plugs or carb icing if only in poor weather..

It does it more when its cold. I think it started when I got it back from a service last summer.

Mine was doing that too.... altho not just in that part of the rev range

Plugs have been changed, carbs balanced and the choke cable was knackered so that was changed too, not done it since, cleaned and oiled the air filter too

That's one of the carbed SV's classic "You are running lean" symptoms... But I don't know if you're on a carbed SV or not, or how stock it is, could just be a coincidence.

It goes through that point fine if you keep steady throttle, and doesn't do it at any other part of the revs, correct?
