View Full Version : Too soon for a SELKent rideout?

Nearly a year ago I went on my first ride-out with SV650.org, and the boys and girls of SELKent. It wasn't especially sunny, or particularly dry, but I had a fantastic day meeting up with everyone, and taking in the experience of riding in the pack.

Now that a new season is dawning on us, I'm getting impatient. What was billed as a pre-season ride out last year was meticulously planned, and went so smoothly. I think we should rally the troops, and reprise our cruise through Heathfield....

So who's up for it?... Date? Route? We started at Wessons last year, I doubt we could do any better. Who's in?

If I am allowed I too may decide to tag along, so long as it doesn't start to early. I have a bit of a way to travel you know

If it's on a Saturday I guess I could always stop over somewhere local on Friday night after Soho. Maybe Hamstead or somewhere like that

Saturday? Sunday?

Too much traffic around on Saturdays... I'm sure we can work something out for Mr Ape! The beauty of last year was that it wasn't an all day event... we met in the morning, but only so we could all chat at Wessons for tea, breakfast and chats... basically, it wasn't a huge big rideout, but a good balance between the two.

Oh ****, well what about the camber run via Tenterden etc etc, that was a nice long one, probably best on a Sunday, so we can scare all the Sunday drivers.

I think we've singled out the Sunday 3rd April for the Rideout... I'll start a thread in a moment with a suggested route.

Chose this, as it seems to be a weekend that most people can make, doesn't clash with any bike races (BSB, or MotoGP), and isn't Easter.
