Hey, :)

Ive been riding now for a couple of months and am enjoying it very much. Except for times like this morning, it seems every morning that its abit cold my K1 650sv doesnt seem to run properly. :? It keeps wanting to cut out when the revs drop. Which is kinda fustrating when your in heavy traffic. Its fine on the way home from work when its warmed up outside.

Is there any thing I can do to stop this :?:

Thanks for any advice

Cheers.

Tweak the tickover up a tad. Seriously. Manual says 1200, but the bike likes it a lot more at 1400.

Wot he said, could also be carb icing, the joys of owning the older better shaped SV  A drop of Silkolene pro FST in with the petrol should cure it. problem will disapear when the damp cold morning do.

If you do suspect carb icing, check that the carb heaters are working properly.

Def the carb icing problem. I get it whenever there's cold too. You'll may find the additives dont quite cure the problem. Changing to the premium petrol (maybe 30p extra a tank) along with the additives works a treat.
