Hey folks,

Not been on here for a bit, since i didn't want to be tempted with all your rideouts and proposed drinking sessions... but have been riding every day of the week about town. But on Friday it was such a nice sunny warm day thought it would be a blast to head up North (to see the folks).

Leg 1: Glasgow - Stirling = All hot and sticky, blue sky, sun in my eyes (wishing had sun glasses).
Leg 2: Stirling - Perth = Gusty winds, dark skys, can see perfectly (wish car drivers would open 'their' eyes).
Leg 3: Perth - Inverness = The phrase 'chilly on the willy and numb on the bumb) springs to mind, Heavy rain, spray from vehicles in front, can't see **** (wish i had wipers on my helmet).
Leg 4: Inverness - Gairloch = Well was '****tin' myself on every corner, dark, road works, single track, and heavy snow. (wish i had wiper blades, heated visor, heated grips, hell a heated seat would have been nice).

Heading back was well worth it though, once off the single track. Shame about muck on the road afterwards.
Took a few pics on the way back, with phone. If your wanting a longer ride out in the summer, there are some great challenging single track roads mixed in with some 4 mile runways.

Neways if you care, here they are:

Here are some proper photos of the far north west coast, where there is nothing much other than sheep and their poo's on the road.

Whats the name of that wee place by the water?

Not sure I'd be wanting to head north in those conditions!

Great pictures too...... is there any reason the sheep are running away from you? :? :P

That wee place is called Gairloch (the **** end of nowhere). It was all really nice little single track country roads, great for racing a car along (and bike), although they are changing them to really 'wide' straight runway style roads..... that are always empty (good for a performance check  ).
And the sheep were running from the noise on my bike... , i swear, if it comes down to it, i wasn't even there... their word against mine! (hmmm Q. Replace the sheep with children, and what famous, sick person have you got (not being judgemental, they got the flu).?)

I wanted to drive out there to Gairloch one time. Just to see what it was like in that part of Scotland. My brother and sister in law didn't want to go that way. So we went east out of Inverness instead and ended up in Fraserburgh. Before going back down south to Glasgow.
Cheers, Richard
