Do you reckon they'll turn up? The weather's going to prove a right challenge for attendance levels all round methinks.

How about a reverse pickup.

Ride to his, he gives you a lift to soho on hte back of your bike...and vise versa...that could work :)

As mentioned, I'll be sitting this one out, had a couple of offers for a lift up, but as the accident has also upset my diabetes, I'm feeling a be rough at the moment.

I need a couple of days to sort myself out, fixing bikes is great therapy.

O, and I don't ride pillion, and can't ride myself at the moment.

Just had an email from Pensioner Pete (and the Gold Wingers) and due to the weather conditions they've cancelled tonight's trip into Soho.

Looking at things myself, I really don't fancy a 100 mile return trip with temperatures going below -1. Mrs jonboy is also giving me aggro about this but I won't make any definite plans until mid afternoon.

Rain and cold is one thing but snow and ice is quite another, so I would suggest everyone seriously thinks about this regarding tonight's meet.

I might go along, it depends on the weather. Being london i expect the roads to be clear by then as my route from the office or home to soho keeps to major roads which are used constantly.

I went to work this morning, teaches you very light throtle/brake control.

Got 3inches of snow here in Bromley...

Just about to leave for work, traffic is tailed right back as well...groan

I doubt i will be there tonight, as i will have the car.

Came into work early on the bike this morning - first 100 yards down the road were 'interesting', but after that it was OK as the main roads were relatively snow free, if a little slushy. The bike & my legs an interesting shade of white - salt

However Mrs Toad informs me we now have about 5" of snow at home  No snow here at work however (Knightsbridge) :D

I'll keep an eye on things during the day, but might trundle off home without a coffee unless it improves . . .

There are several of us due to do the bikesafe course on Sunday at the Ace - not sure it will happen

well made it, perhaps not the best move i've ever made, but hey pains just one of those things you put up with.

all the work on the bike seemed to work OK, so thats a plus.

fair turn out considering the weather, grabbed a handfull of clutch on the way out of Firth St, now that hurt, had to stop for a while until the stars went away.

off to a bath now, try and settle for the night.

Hi all ! I was dissapointed at being informed that the meet was being postponed. Some folks don't know what bad weather is like.
Snow riding is exciting and fun, so long as you come to no grief.
Remember last yrs Ally Pally show ? It snowed "unexpectedly" on one day, paralyzed half of UK, especialy around N London & M 1.
I had my trusty 1500 'Wing there. It had almost dissapeared from sight when I left the show. Buried in snow. After clearing the controls and seat, I rode off, and was only 30 mins late home. The heated grips, warm clothing, weather protection really came into their own that day, and listening to the radio, hearing about all those snarl ups of traffic, I was very happy to be on two wheels.
So, another date will have to be fixed for our get together, and we are really looking forward to it, especially the free food bit.
Have you noticed the size of most Gold Wingers. ?

It should be noted that the size of the Soho Massive wallet is inversely proportional to the size of most Gold Wingers ;).
