Hi,
After my knock last year I need to but a new front fairing as mine has broken brackets where the head lamp is held in place.
Anyone know where a cheaper version as for sale or an O/E at a good price?

Also how hard would it be to fit a seat unit from another make bike to an SV what changes would you need to make.

Cheers

Cheap fairing bits, try ebay but SV bits have gotten ridiculous now.

Any seat unit COULD be made to fit, alterations to the sub frame are needed. I reckon a K3 would look quite good with a 2000 R1 seat unit.
A specialist shop like Polygon would fit it for you no sweat or I can find you an article about it somewheres.....

If you could that would be great.

I don't fancy cutting the bike about myself too much.
I had something like an RS seat unit in mind or a TLR.

Cheers Paul

OK go here... http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/

Click on Seven-eleven in the LHS menu and look for Lee's Articles.
There's an article there that he wrote for STreetfighter's mag, with pics.

I can't seem to link direct to it.

If anybody wants to go to the twins section of the infoboard and add some comments it'd be good, me and Jobbins are about the only SV riders there.

Just remembered I've got as complete fireblade subby and seat unit, would need some work to fit but at least it's cheap if you're interested.

An OE front fairing for your bike from suzuki is around 80pounds. I had to fit a new one last year after I had an off. By seat unit do you mean pillion replacement i.e cowl if so and original from suzuki is only 42 now.

Thanks for your help.
Think I'll try breakers but £80 is not really that bad for O/E parts.
