A mate of mine's looking for (preferably) a senior systems admin job but having no luck so far.. I thought I'd try and help him out a bit... Hope it's alright to post this on here...

Here's a short list of his skills:

SUN Solaris from 1.1.4 through to 10 (beta), core skill so can do anything from add a user to change a backplane on a V880, build custom jumpstarts etc etc, Weblogic 5.1->8.1 Admin, builds, troubleshooting, Checkpoint Firewall NGFP3 Trained (not CCSA though). All the usual Web platform skills. Securing down servers is a speciality aswell..

Anyone know of anything going?

:)

Veritas VM or VCS? or even Sun Cluster? EMC/SAN ? all these are in demand in the city atm. I've just filled my 2 vacancies, so unfortunately nothing available at the moment.

A couple of good agencys that I use (work for Investment bank in the city)

Optima IT -pushy agency but seem to have success
Alexandra Mann (aka AMS) - cheap agency, so they tend to have good success rate

Cheers. :) His main broblem with banks is that for some reason they won't touch him cuz he's got no previous experience working for banks... :?
