We all do it. Many of us more than once. Most of the time right outside our houses, in our drives, and always in public places!
Put on some crash bungs if you dont have some already.

Congratulations! You can now start rideing the bike properly.
Theory is that after the 1st time you drop a new bike you wont be as worried about doing it again, and you relax more so your rideing improves....

As long as there isn't any fairing damage, you got off lightly. The scratch on the exhaust gives you an excuse to get a race can.

If your rideing in London, then its likely that you will have an off at somone point. Hell if your rideing a bike, its likely to happen. Best thing is be prepared for it, always wear your protective gear, even if your just going down the road etc..

Get some crash bungs on and your be set!

Someone wise once said, there are two types of bikers, thoes who have come off and thoes who are going to come off.

And tut tut... not wearing your lid??

i had been parked up for half an hour. i was just pushing the bike a couple of feet forward and must have flipped the side stand up as i did it. you can guess the rest. the r&g's, my legs and, curiously, my little finger took the brunt of it. i fell back and walloped my loaf. joe (my hero  ) was on hand to lift the bike up.

head now not so sore, end of little finger nice and swollen.

I think I'm joining the crash dummies club.
Just fell off again today, almost the same reason as last time.
Only a bit of an ache in my hand but I managed to scratch the fairing and break an indicator and the right peg/lever.
Oh well, it's an excuse to get some nicer indies and some rearsets.

Tell you what, I'll try.
I'm fine, bike is battered but at least I'm no longer worried about scratching it. My previous fall did almost no damage. This one might even need a new crash bung.

The worrying part is that so far nothing has happened when I was really going for it.
I think I must be just paying huge amounts more attention at speed than I am at 20mph.

Oh, and if anybody is interested, I hit the ground because I grabbed a handful of front brake.
A newby mistake, I know, but it's embarassing after all the discussions of which brake to use.
Of course, if I'd used the brake properly I wouldn't have fallen off.

Oh well, we live and learn or we don't. Either way it doesn't matter in the end.

Michael & Will...glad you are both ok and hope bikes are easy to patch up.

Oi you lot, trying to break my record isn't clever. Leave it out I say.

Glad that again there are no serious injuries. It's not summer yet you lot so don't get carried away. The roads still have crap on them and they are still cold. Ride safe. Please.

Carsick

The worrying bit is that neither of my accidents was because of the road surface. Both were entirely my fault and entirely due to my own (lack of) observation skills.

Doesn't make me hopeful for the summer, when I'll probably feel more inclined to ride fast and there will be more skimpily dressed redheads about.

I think IAM will be on the cards, if I can keep the bike in one piece till then.

well you spot a hazard and then STOP looking at it cos you go where you look.... hardest lesson to learn I reckon....

so youre gonna be stuffed mate
