Unbelievable stuff! I finally got the bike dragged out of the garage for a long overdue wash- when i got laid up I just sprayed it with about a litre of FS365 and it's been festering since... I was all set for a battle, and all it took was a spray and a hose-down. Magic! Went through about a third of the whole bottle mind, but then it was unspeakably manky so no wonder. can't really believe how well it worked.
Is there anything better? I'm not sure how, just curious :)

I love Muc Off too!
Great at the metal bits, and keeps your seat looking good, even if you have a cat that sits on it every night!

I normally use the Hein Gericke cleaner £7 or 8 pounds for 5L bottle and dilute it with water(maybe 50/50 or 40% water ). For certain areas I use it neat. Lasts a while as well.
How much is 'Muck Off ?
Cheers

I have also started using the HG stuff. Just as good but as you can buy a 5L container, it works out cheaper.
Spray it on, leave it 5 mins, rinse it off and then wash with a normal car shampoo. Rinse and leather. Polish with Autoglym until it's all shiney.....
Ahhh that feels better

I think it's about £20 for a 5-litre refill, I paid a fiver for my 1-litre tub... I'll try the HG stuff once I empty this bottle- won't take long, i did two festering rusty mountain bikes with it today as well :)
I got 10L of muc off, when busters had it on sale. Seems good enough, i think it cost 15quid for 10L so, a lot cheaper than retail.

I think it's more that the HG stuff is cheap than the Muc Off is expensive :) Considering how much time it's saved me, and how close to a perfect job it's done, I'd call it a bargain at twice the price... Won't stop me from getting the HG stuff next though

Thinking of buying some,
So is it best I go for the 8 in1 kit
OR
Just buy the big bottles of stuff, and go with it?

I thought about it, but every other cleaning brush i've had for a bike has just clogged up or worn out in no time so I didn't bother in the end... Old paintbrushes are as good IMO, especially those really stiff ones that you can't use to paint with anymore :)

the ones you get from the pound shop for a pack of ten (there no good for painting mind you)

I've started using Machinary Mart parts wash fluid, which gets diluted 10:1 for normal use - £9.39 for a 5L container. A small jam jar with a 2:1 mix shifts pretty much any thick greasy nastiness when worked with a stiff paint brush. The 10:1 mix seems to be as effective as the Autoglym bike cleaner I had been using, and the empty spray bottles from the Autoglym product work very well with the new mix in them.
theres one iv used called 'pro-clean' its v.g as well £4 odd a litre .i wanted muc off but my local bike shop advised pro-clean as an alternative .but ill try the h.g stuff next
