Okie, so first day/weekend of really nice weather this year.

Where did you go/end up how far did you go?

I did about 150miles today, went up to sevenoaks the back roads, arround there for a bit then down to hastings/rye and back. Passed a big biker meet there, but count figure out how to get into the carpark, so had to go past!

Took the g/f to heing gerick (she in her car) to buy her a lid.
A nice AGV hot rod

While she was busy i ended up buying a v nice leather jacket, some of last years stock they wanna clear out. Reduced to £49.95!!

So that done we came home and i took her for her first ride on a big bke. Only round the block and to local supermarket.
She loved it thank god. :D

Then when she went i tested her new lid for high speed capabilites by flying up to the galleria and back. Then a few local roundabouts to scrub the edges of my rear tyre as it was new on before x-mas.

Then i tried to 'find more excuses to stay out but the local cagers were getting to be a bit of a pian so i came home :(

but i'm gonna tag along with Rictus etc for this ride to brighton

I did about 60 miles round Pershore, Worcester, Malvern Upton Upon Severn and Gloucester.

On the way I saw the aftermath of what looked like a nasty accident with helicopter in attendance. I think there was a bike involved but couldn't (and didn't want to) get close enough to find out what had happened. Be careful out there...

Went exploring, all over dorset / somerset borders and into wiltshire

Route to complicated to explain but stayed away from main roads and stuck to B roads mainly

For the shear hell of it I went round the M25. About 145 miles in all including the end bits to and from home. Average speed 54.7 mph and max speed rather surprisingly only 87.8. I think my speedo is definately reading on the low side.

Jelster -

nice to see the rest of you are starting to average my daily riding mileage.... winter was average 1000 miles per week.... dread to think what summer brings (july/aug was 1500ish) with the euro tours on top

I big fat 0 miles for me. I wheeled the bike round to the back garden and spent the whole day changing the front pads. Serious amount of that time was spent getting the seized pin out and butchering bodging the calliper. It's all back together now with the new pads in, but it ain't pretty. Just went out and did a few brake tests this morning and now the bike is sat out front where it will do another 0 miles of fun riding again today.

wheres the sun gone? :(
probably get myself to tescos on the cbf.... SV is fixed but not going anywhere... :( not until that rear tyres replaced asap....

and at least my rear brake caliper is now actually bolted to something again... ah yes... task for the day.... phone mate and give severe rollicking for that one... how can you not reattach the rear calliper?

luckily for me I crashed the SV so didnt keep riding it.... [and that has to be one of the oddest things Ive ever typed  ]

hey simon and northwind... :grouphug: hope that cheers you up...

Woohoo! Fianlly got Lyns Number

Its quite a nice ride down there, the A21/Bsomething, so I may well be down that way again!

I useally average 100 or so miles a day in the summer, just the 40odd in the snow.

I did about 150 miles with my mate, all through sevenoaks and down to hastings. Stayed in hastings about 20 minutes, then rode straight back home again! picked up a few bikers on the way back, there was 6 of us for about 30 miles or so.

Car drivers were treating us like the police, both sides of the road were moving right over and letting us all rip straight down the middle, it was knee down mayhem and I absolutely loved it!

Over Bury hill with my dad, lovely ride there along the back roads stoped up there for an hour and headed back.

On the way home 4 Gixxers almost hit me trying to get past (following dads CB250 is painfully slow) then overtaking some knobhead in a Saxo he swerved at me causeing me to almost hit dad who had got past as I had to get off the brakes, then some knobber on a Triumph tries to carve me up on a roundabout almost hits the back of dads bike and then swerves across lanes on the motorway without looking almost hitting me again.

I might mothball my bike for the summer and only get it out during the winter when those fools aren't around.

11 of us, back twisties towards Linton and Haverhill then the A143 to the cafe by Highpoint nick for brekkie. Lunch in the pub at Finchingfield then on to Hein Gericke in Braintree for retail therapy. Home by the boring but quick A120. About 130 miles of fun.

260 miles.... A30 almost to the end, back via A30/A38, Plymouth, Dartmoor.... £12.36 Okehampton, £11.44 Hayle, £12.70 Exeter....
Much thirstier than I remember but maybe it was more enjoyable.....
Must have been the start of National Bike Week or something because everyone seemed to be out. Thanks to the 748 that passed me ... how fast..... sounded glorious, looked......
Fabulous day, and all after the first bit in the sun.

Did about 170 miles on sunday :D went from selby to matlock via doncaster. then to bakewell, castleton & surrounding areas, sheffield, back to doncaster then home again to selby just as it was getting dark! Good day out! reccomend the castleton area if u like racing scoobies  there were dozens of em!
One thing i noticed was that fellow bikers around the matlock and bakewell area dont seem as friendly as in north yorkshire (or they have stiff necks and struggle to nod back). Police presence around the selby, doncaster area was unusually high!(think there may have been a big meet on at sherburn) I was forever being flagged by oncoming bikers warning me of camera vans and the like, and as they were flagging me, i was flagging them to say the same!! but all was well once i was out into the sticks :P
