My bike has stalled once or twice soon after start when the clutch has been pulled in after moving a few metres, and I've a feeling it may be the idle speed too low in the cold weather. I know it's getting warmer, but I wanted to knock it up a few hundred revs. Is currently 1100 once settled. Can anyone plse tell me the right procedure for upping the setting, and what i should go to - was thinking around 1400?It's a K4 by the way.
Cheers guys,
Steve

1100 is nice when the weather is good, but it's just not quite enough when it's colder. I have mine at 1400 and I don't have any problems, alot of other people seem to be about the saem.
1300 rpm is what mine is set for.

on the left hand side in the corner of the frame is a small philips screw in a white circle about the size of a 5p piece. turn it one way & the revs will go up :D , turn it the other way & they'll go down
see the manual for the precise location

when the engine is cold mine sits at about 900rpm. when it is warm it sits at about 1200. it seems ok at that. jamie

It's a carbed model, so he can choose the choke level.
Wouldn't have thought it would idle happily at 900 when properly cold, though.

then you have your idle set at 1200, what it idles at cold doesn't count
