I noticed in my SK3 manual, in the plug replacement guide section, that it stipulates using a CR7E (denso:U22ESR-N), rather than the stock CR8E (U24ESR-N) spark plug "if the standard plug is apt to get wet, replace with this plug." [Page 51 of the K3 owners manual]

Does that plug come stock for you folks in rainy places, like parts of the U.K.?

Just curious...

[small edit: Oh, and I live in The States. So I have a US (non California - if there is a difference) owners manual...

Don't Californian SV's have to run on fresh water or air :?:

When they refer to a plug getting wet, they mean with petrol.
So, if it's prone to run rich, put CR7E in, if it's lean put CR9E in, otherwise leave the standard ones in.

Really?

That makes more sense than what I imagined when the manual used the word "wet." I envisioned rain water being splashed up on the forward plug/wire junction...

Thanks. :)
