Expensive lesson learned :!:
You shouldn't need much clutch when doing burnout... Just let it out whilst increasing revs then let go of the clutch completely... Don't slip the clutch at all as you will, as you've found out, f**k the clutch up  You just need to slip it a bit to get the wheel spinning and thats it.. should take a couple of seconds to get it spinning too...

I think they took the pee with their prices for Oil and coolant tho.

I also saw those and thought  but gave it the benefit of the doubt in case they were very special nuts bolts and washers.
For £3.27 i'd want a pure gold one or one as big as my head to be honest.
Last time i went to buy one washer from the plumbing shop he asked if thats al i needed and when i said yeh.... he let me have it. So how cheap should a washer be then????

exactly, and suzuki will be buying their washers in larger quantities then we do so will be getting greater discounts from suppliers, but then if you dont know the prices of washers and bolts there would be no need to question it, anyway enough talk about washers feels like being at work and i,m on holiday for four days

Is that typical for labour Dan Sarf? I pay £30 p/h from my dealer, on the rare occasions they see the bike... Still, it sounds like they came through with the fast repair so that's got to be worth a lot to you.

Interesting exercise. I wouldn't be too bothered about the 3 quid for the washer but I would like to know is why they put an OE clutch plate kit in it when Barnett Heavy Duty ones would be a better bet?
I would also ask why you were charged for a clutch push rod when I can't see how it can have been worn or damaged in any way? Also why do you need 6 bolts? Why weren't the old ones any use?
Everytime I've ever had the clutch out I've managed to reuse the gasket. On a K4 the gasket would be almost new anyway and I've only seen problems on much older bikes.
Obviously the biggest question is why did it take them 3 hours to do? I've stripped and rebuilt clutches at a race circuit in around half an hour. Just what were they doing for the other 2.5 hours?
Something really doesn't add up here. Maybe you can get them to explain why so many parts needed replacing?

half hour for dinner hour tea break rest of the time up and down the street on back wheel of customers bike just to make doubly sure cluth working ok
apparently all the oil was contaminated with clutch bits. It completly exploded. He said that they had to flush the engine out with lots of oil to clear all the bits.

Urm..
Non suzuki parts will not cheese and will probably not react to condensation like the SV steel parts. Sorry to hear about your financial dwellings there. Tragic!

I'm trying to work out how you can do a burnout with the clutch in? :)
I tooka bit o time out last week to put my spare rear wheel on (the other one's getting powdercoated) , it's got an Avon Azaro on which is on its last legs, so naturally I'm going to destroy it :)
