View Full Version : It's the Yes No Maybe poll again
Yes No or Maybe. Talking about Friday of course.
And Ricardo you had better be going as I have something you want and you have something that I NEED.
Darn, i was planning to hit somehing and not come. You have ruined all my plans for the week, i now have to stay safe.
My bike will now be a bumble bee (yellow-black-yellow), probably with a splash of red (its a evil bumble bee).

:D
No swearing on this forum if you please
hopefully i dont fail to stop when i put my new calipers on my bike.
Painting them is impossible to get them with a smooth finish.
I gave up in the end and just said stuff that, if it looks crap its crap, as long as i stop when i want to and dont contunue down the road thats ok.
Decided to only paint the caliper not the carrier. Just incase that was buggered up.
I2G: yes i know there are probably loads of spelling and other problems.
Yes - and I've cleaned the bike. Altho might be on an R6 :D

What's the best route for Friday?
I'm coming from Kennington/Elephant and Castle.
Was gonna go Waterloo Bridge, Aldwych then towards Charing Cross Road.
Can someone enlighten me.

Passed the oval, left into Kennington road,
follow A23, over Westminster Bridge,
turn right at the lights (at end of bridge) on to embankment.
through one set of lights, turn left at next set (just before bridge).
down to trafalgar sq, off up Charing cross road, left into Shaftesbury Ave,
Third right (just before ped crossing), right on to Soho sq, last turning off sq into frith st.
Cheers Mark.

waterloo bridge, underpass to kingsway, turn left at the lights next to the saisburys, follow the road to the left onto shaftesbury avenue, go over past the theather take the third right into Dean Street.
Otherwise i am in peckham an go in to arrive at about 7-7:30
I always go on waterloo bridge so i can go into the underpass and hear the noise, come arround the last corner and floor it out and ahhh the sound.

Dan
Hopefully, house moving in progress but will need to escape for a while so will come down for a bit.
Can anyone bring a C spanner to tighten headstock bearings? There be some odd clonking noises eminating from the front of my bike under (some) braking.
See you there,
MT
likelihood of being there increasing.... I can at least walk on my ankle now... knee swellings gone down so should be able to manage the trip up...
will be taking it very very easy.... :? :D
Just to prove I'm consistent, I won't be there again this week.
Have fun.

1) I tend to walk on my feet, not my ankles.... That's what you're doing wrong dear, no wonder they hurt
2) Can you make sure that if I come you keep your distance, somebody once told me luck is contageous, but they didn't mention whether that only applied to the "good" variety
Seriously Lyn, I hope you're feeling better....
Oh, and I may just make it down tomorrow, depending on whether or not I have a domestic pass.

Might pop by soho this week. Not been down for a while.
I was meant to be out drinking with the visordown bunch but that would involve leaving the bike somewhere it town. it looks like I'm working late again tonight so will probably be easiest to swing by frith st on my way home.

Excellent turnout tonight (30 odd bikes?) and nice to see some old faces like Topcat and Minifun.
I think the Soho Massive is definitely becoming eponymous, with a consistently large weekly turnout.
Maybe it's about time we persuaded Suzuki to buy us all a coffee? :P

Only problem with that is it takes half hour to say goodbye to everyone.
Maybe next week I'll stay to then so that I can just say goodbye to myself.
Yep, a good night. That speed triple is crazy compared to the SV, pulled away on my sv and i really had to work it to get going compared to it!
Cheers again Mark for that, even if i couldn't start it.

Also noted that there was at least one plain clothes police officer in cafe italia. He gave the R1 guy a damned good bol*cking after he turned up and did a burn out while parking.

Just in case anyone thought AlanSV was a sedate rider..............last nights drag race with him and Big Ape on a (a private road :^o ) towards Hammersmith proved otherwise
My lad as pillion wasn't particularly impressed with my involuntary wheelie (ette) as I tried in vain to get near Alan. (but he WAS impressed with Big Ape's wheelie on another private road in Knightsbridge

Not just yet. Maybe next year, or as a second bike. I dont think i could tame it for my commuting use, its just too easy to go fast. Wheelie good though.
It felt like a lot of effot to get 30/40 out of the sv compared to it. .
I felt a lot more in control of the sv, but thats more than likely because its my bike and i've been rideing it a while.
The clutch on that triumph is damned heavy as well.
Dan
You hooligans you!

Firstly, I didn't try to out drag anyone. I already knew before we had left the lights that I was beaten. It was fun watching you try, two up as well

hehe race what race? I was just using the full power of the bike to reach the speed limit of the road.
btw I was disapointed those Skylines and other Cars didnt go for it, throttled back on the elevated section, as those metal joints make the bike feel pretty scary when leant over!
hehe race what race? I was just using the full power of the bike to reach the speed limit of the road.
Alan, I think you miss understand what that sign in a red circle with the numbers 4 and 0 mean.
