Bristol departures/meets if required*
Meet point is Morrisons filling station, Cribbs Causeway shopping junction 17 M5.
Its only 15 mins max to Aust so I suggest a leave time from Morrison's of 10.30 (probably wont wait after 10.40).
My mobile is 07834453799.
*For anyone else Bristol way going directly to Aust may suit you better., see you there :D
I will definitely be at the Cardiff meeting point (Asda petrol station, 10:00am, J32 of M4) as agreed.
I'm away from work and therefore out of contact of the Forums for the two days before The Parade. I'll be passing through "Akula Country" on my way to a place near Didcot on Thursday morning, returning Friday pm.
Mogs and Baldyman (amongst others) have my mobile number if needed.
The list I've made so far of interested riders is....
1 Jabba-the-Hut (Cardiff)
2 Baldyman (Swindon)
3 Rich (Portishead)
4 Professor (Trowbridge)
5 Carsick (Lymington)
6 CeriJC (Cirencester)
7 Fizzwheel (Yeovil)
8 IanSV - maybe (Essex)
9 Valleyboy (Aberdare)
10 The Mass (Rogerstone)
11 TeeJey (Bristol)
12 Lazzer (Bristol)
13 Motorhead (Ystrad Mynach)
14 Term (Bristol)
15 Rich Curtis (Newport?)
16 Richstam (Bristol)
17 Welshwop (Cardiff?)
18 Flying Nurse_SV (Cardiff)
19 Flying Nurse_2 (Cardiff)
20 Ijeffrey (Bridgend)
21 Haxsaw (Bristol)
22 Thebulletproofpoet (Rogerstone)
23 Drinky (Clevedon)
24 DaiBike (Cardiff)
25 Barry (Newport)
26 Mucky Helmet (Nailsea)
27 Zombie Jesus (Cardiff)
28 Mogs (Caerphilly)
I put this post originally in the other thread, and again Apologies if I've missed anyone off! I'll try to keep this up to date by editing it, as I think its quite useful for those that wish to meet up on the way to Aust.
Add to that:
DaiBike - BMW F650GS (Cardiff)
Barry - CBR1000 (Newport)
Both to be confirmed. Dave more likely than Barry.
And jonc?
I hadn't forgotten him, he put in the other thread...
Curses - Have booked a holiday, and now realised it's on this weekend. I'll have to make an extra effort next time (now the weathers getting better, hopefully that will be soon!).
There has been some discussion regarding the safety element of this ride, specifically what we know about each other in the unlikely event of an accident.
A ride-out conducted by another forum was unfortunate enough to be involved in an incident, which resulted in a rider being hospitalised. The sad part of the story is that the other riders only new his forum name, this made it difficult for them to arrange to notify a home contact and for the recovery of his machine etc.
Now this may sound like tempting fate, however, I am a believer in that if there is a plan for the worse, the worse won’t occur.
I suggest that we all print out the “form” below, complete it, put it in the map pouch of your tank bag (or somewhere equally obvious).

The views were...................there?

And we have proof that the end of the route was achieved by some of us...................cue photos from someone please
Mogs and Jabba, you both deserve medals for attempting to bring harmony to an anarchic bunch of disorientated, non map readers (well, me anyway) =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> :)

Carsick, Prof where are youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?
I'm here.
By the time I got to Rhayador the weather had started to brighten, by Aberystwyth it could very nearly be described as pleasant.
I had a good run through the mountains though.
