I may have to drop out of any/all social events till the end of this month. Money situation is looking pretty grim. Even my net access got cut off this morning.
I'll see if I can scrape together a few coins to throw at the man in the petrol station, if so then I will be along at 1800, as usual.

All home safe I hope. Matt, are you going for a test ride on a Buell?
Yep, got home safe & sound.
Another good evening, packed at Poole Quay.
An 'interesting' ride home  .
Buell + sparkies + roundabout = - very tempted to get that test ride now.
I do like the roads at that time of night
Good to meet some new faces, the suspension creaked a bit after the buffet
Not going to be able to make it again for a few weeks but will see you at Beaulieu this weekend if you are there.
P.S. Some of you asked about the B & B in France, here is the link:

Guys,
I'm planning on coming down with some mates this week, when should we get there, what's the best way in ?

It starts ar 18;00 (i.e. that's when they let bikes onto the Quay) but the queue begins to form from about 17;30 in the High St (Poole Quay High St and not the Poole town centre High Street). If arriving after about 18;10 you will queue for a very short time to pay your £1 entrance and then ride onto the Quay and get parked up.
What time do you expect depart to London and arrive at Poole?
I'll be there.
Will be leaving Fareham at about 17:40, Rownhams at about 18:00, Burley about 18:10, Poole Quay at about 18:25.
See you soon.
Steve - we usually meet at Rownhams services on the M27 at 6 o'clock, pick up Tee Jey and Carsick at Burley at 6:10, and then get to Poole Quay at about 6:30.

What time do you expect depart to London and arrive at Poole?
We'll be leaving from Jack Lilley's (the Triumph Dealer, just South of Heathrow) by about 4:15. Probably take A30 to Basingstoke, M3, A303. If we have time, I'd like to come down the A350, but I think we'll need to turn South earlier than that, any suggestions ?
.
tee jey
20-06-05, 08:28 AM
You may find using the A303 to A30 (or A343 then A30) and than on to A354 to B3081 to B3078  (Winborne) then A349 (Poole) a better route. A350 can be a bit conjested at that time of day. Very much depends on whether you want a fun ride or just want to get there asap.

I anticipate being at Popham Services (A303) for 5pm, then I guess it's about an hour & 15, maybe 30 to get to the Quays via less than direct route ?

That's about right. Less if you go M3 - M27 - A31 but not as much fun
Can't make it tonight folks, still recovering from Beaulieu and being invaded by family, hope to be back soon.

Well we made it, and I know that "Son of Jelster" enjoyed it... (Although I think it may have been more likely to do with the amount of young ladies in the area than bikes though....).
Scoobs, good to say Hi again.... Michael, get yer hair cut man, you look like a 60's hippie who's lost his way
Trip home was even faster than the trip down  Must do it again before the end of the summer....

There was a goodly amount of the fairer sex down there. Some top quality totty.
Good to speak again Jelster (although briefly). I will get up to Soho again shortly.
Enjoyed the trip there, enjoyed the time there, enjoyed the trip home. Not so sure that jonboy had as much fun on the way home though.
I'm guessing that as the night was so young he decided that he would go and see if anything was happening at PLYMOUTH before heading off home.
Seeing as we (Mark aka Rictus, Ian aka Sid Squid, and myself) thought it was rather late that we would actually go THE RIGHT WAY home.
Anyone got a cheap Sat nav for jonboy :?: :?: Or maybe he needs a set of truck mirrors so he can see when EVERYONE goes the otherway at roundabouts.
Glad you got home safe Greg. eventually
BUGGER! Sounds like I missed a good night, :( ah well, i'm sure there will be more.
Yes a good night, great to meet some more new faces. Weather was superb and there must have been almost a thousand bikes there. Fell in love with a totally original showroom condition Kawasaki H2C (750 two stroke triple) in purple - original owner had had it since '75!
As for the journey home, um, less said the better  . Still got back to base eventually at just after 1am. All in all I did almost 340 miles.

Wouldn't want you to get ill or anything, I know the windchill gets a bit much for you when you get up to 30mph.
The pub sounds like a plan to me, since it's not terribly out of my way and it's on the way for virtually everybody else.
