Arai Chin Strap

:D I bought my Arai helmet last July £300 and the chinstrap has started to fray near the little poper :( , I beleive that its still under gaurentee so will be taking it back to the shop soon.

Anyone else had this problem :?:

I phoned J&S today cos thats where I bought it.

They said they've asked for a loan lid from arai and when it arrives they'll send mine back to them to have a new strap fitted. :D

yes. because arai are ment as an invesment ie 5 years use, cos they are high quality & cost a lot. most people i know have had this problem.
arai are good though the will even tset the interigrity of the lid in question as well as fitting the new chin strap. while loaning you a lid in the mean time.

does this mean the loan lid is used again by other people? and used before u get it?

i thought it was a big mistake to use used lids as u cant tell what they have been through etc.

yes the lid you are loaned will have been used before but arai always carry out a structural intergrity test after it is returned by the last person to use it so worry not it will be fine i they thought it was not safe for you to use they would never loan it to you :thumbsup:
after all they have to keep up a good repuation
if you are worried at all call up arai they will put your mind at ease there good guys

Took me helmet back to shop last week, I now have a loan lid, it does have a chip on the top but I'm happy with the service, they did'nt even ask for me receipt but I imagin that they have their own records to id the lid and its history.
I hope to get it back next week :) .

:D Collected it yesterday, new strap fitted quick turnaround.

Thanks Arai now I know what I'm paying for as I don't know of any other manufactors who honour their product this way THANK YOU.
