Final question then the bike is sorted :)
A little while ago my petrol light failed to come on and I coasted to a stop. I checked the wiring and shorted out the connectors which worked, indicating the petrol sender was out. Bought a replacement of Mike1234 and still it doesn't work.
Is there anything else it could be? I presumed the two little switches inside had floating metal balls in them which shorted a connection at the bottom but after some reading it looks like they are read switches controlled by magnets (dunno how the magnets change position).
If anyone has another sender unit could they help me out.
Big thanks. A.
