i say good luck to em. but i have to say i dont agree with every comment on there.
also, if they want more police to fight crime etc then taking away a massive source of funding like speed cameras wont help.
still, i bloody hate em!
The speed camera pratnerships claim that they do not make a profit and that any money is used for maintaining the scheme and any surplus ( a little over £25,000,000 last year) goes to the treasury.
Well included in their costs are all the wages and the guarenteed salary pension contributions, Massive dividends for the technology and service providers which has meant that Serco and Unisys have seen their profits almost double, huge overtime rates for off duty policemen, above all the marketting comunity who spout the lies are funded directly by the fines as are some major research departments in our sseats of learning.

Yeah, but I fall off if I go below 30mph
Working that day otherwise would have gone.
i almost came off because of a speed camera, the gits put one up on the entrance to a deserted factory area which is close to entering the motorway. i came round the corner doing 70 {1} and saw it, thought oh **** and hit the breaks hard unfortunatly it was quite wet and the back hydroplaned on a puddle. yeah i might have been going a bit fast but i wonder how many other accidents these things almost cause.
{1} its technically a 30 but is basicly a big straight road with abandon buildings 30 feet from the road

I can remember a nasty accident involving a bike caused by braking for a speed camera on the A1 in Mill Hill.It was a few years ago but I doubt if the rider made a full recovery.
