Just received my tail tidy :D I am just concerned though that the system 3 alarm box under the seat is now going to have to move. It is situated towards the bottom of the undertray where it fights for space with my disk lock. Will it have to be moved, and will I lose space here under the seat? Or does the tail tidy not affect this. Sorry I have yet to read the instuctions  appreciated. james

You shouldn't need to relocate the unit, (you may need to move it while installing the tail tidy to gain access to bolts and things), not sure about the K4, but on the K3 I think I actually gained some space.

Cable tie the box to the rear subframe under the bodywork.

I fitted one to a K5 on Monday night - it was a bit of a swine! You'll need to move the alarm whilst you're fitting it, but you shouldn't lose any space once it's done.

It's not obvious from the instructions how to get the undertray back where it should go and then get the bolts done up. Once you get to this stage (12 onwards I think) attach the Hamicad thing with the four bolts - DON'T FORGET THE GROMMETS!!! - then bend the undertray back into position, it will go, you just have to be a bit forceful with it. No cutting required although it looks like you have to - just bend it. I couldn't see any other way of doing it, if you put the undertray back first, there's no (easy) way of tightening the bolts up which hold the hamicad thing on. Other than that the instructions are excellent up to this point. Post on here if you get stuck.

When you hit the point of having to bend the undertry to reach the bolts, I find alot of swearing and then going and getting some beer helps quite alot.

I did my K5 today and found putting the undertray up 1st before securing the thing was easier than trying to bend it ( I did try but it didnt seem to want to give) you can still move it down enough to get a small ratchet and socket in there, the hardest bit I found was getting 2 of the 4 bolts off the original!

getting those bolts of the original is a real pain. i ended up losing it and kinda ripping the original one off. id spent about 2 hours taking it off really carefully, only to smash it to pieces at the final stage.

luckily i didnt need it again.
